naw the croc (like 99% sure thats a croc, not a gator) has the dog's neck cratered. that's how they kill prey (suffocation)

Looks like an American crocodile

naw it looks like a medium-small salt water croc, so austrailia is likely. the size would also explain why it would be eating dogs

*ETA: and for those who are like "no way that's small-medium, it's HUGE" people. these are large saltwater crocs

Dog looks awfully stiff to have just been caught alive. Most probably found the dog dead.

The same thing happened by my sister's house in South Carolina. She had just returned from a bike ride when she saw a big 'gator with her neighbor's golden retriever in its mouth.

Yeah I dunno what people expect with regard to damage from a "fight."

Gators/crocs don't fight typically.

They lie in wait and ambush animals that come to drink in their pools, grabbing by the head and snapping the neck.

Same thing with the rigor mortis.

Maybe there is, but I dunno how you can tell how stiff the carcass is considering it's being moved by an alligator sedately gliding through the water at a constant pace.

I would advise against doing that, as it appears to be a crocodile, not an alligator. Crocodiles are still very endangered.

You can get another black lab, and hopefully watch him more closely.
