I told the guy “I’m not paying 30,000 dollars for a Sentra.” But I may if prices don’t drop.
You can get a 4 cyl Japanese sedan for cheaper. 25k or so

No one gives a frick what you drive. Buy your freedom instead of cars.

Insane. The world has truly lost its mind

I haven’t had a vehicle payment since 1998

ive been car shopping lately and when i look at the cars i see on the road, then look at average income numbers, something doesn't quite add up

Yeah, just for kicks I was looking around online at some cars and the local Toyota dealership had an 3 year financing offer on a Corolla at 1.9%. Paying off a new car in 3 years would be pretty good but having a 700+ dollar a month payment on a frickin Corolla seems a bit excessive

I only have a car payment because I drive a ton for work, can write off a lot of miles each month, and really need a higher end electric vehicle so I'm not dropping $400/month on gas and I can use autopilot so I'm not exhausted after sitting in traffic. Otherwise I'd be driving my old beat up ford truck and call it a day

I purchased a 2020 Mustang Ecoboost with the High Performance Package and the Handling Package with only 4000 miles for $36k from a dealer. It was $46k MSRP new.
2 year old car, 10k off original MSRP?

The cheapest, most stripped down Sentra on the lot was 31,000 after taxes and fees.
Look around at who is buying Sentras.
Richards Honda offers a $28k Honda Accord sedan. With taxes and fees, that should end up in the same neighborhood.

I can’t wait for the market to crash eventually. Reminds me of the big short where the lenders are bragging about how bad the loans are.

There are 2 things I struggle with understanding right now with society.
1. How people afford vehicles I see on the road
2. How people afford current bbq prices

Pretty wild that just 5 years ago I paid around 31k for a new crew cab XLT F150.

Each in the video had to have the newest model vehichle and unlees they were all owners of that dealership, no way they could afford to make those payments monthly much less 2 of those payments for multiple cars. I dont have a note right now but when i did a few years ago i thought my $600 note was high. No way am i paying that much monthly for a car
Good Salesman have been making a killing the past couple years. Some deep into 6 figures. Pre pandemic I have friends that are finance managers making $300k. One of my best friends is a GM of a large import dealer in Florida he makes nearly 7 figures. He gets profit sharing.

Another reason why most Americans dont have enough saved for retirement. Those notes are redonkulous

I don't see how they are making much around here. There are no vehicles on the lots.

I made it to 40 before needing to finance a car and that was for work and it comes off gross so technically I'm not paying for it my business does.
I've always preferred buying used in cash.
