Women are terrible when it comes to being judges and prosecutors. They let their feelings and emotion interfere with their ability to think.

To me it sounds like they’re no dropping charges and just delaying the trial. The “out of abundance of caution” makes it seem like this is so the verdict isn’t thrown out or ruled as a mistrial in an appeal in case he claims he was insane or something. Curious for a lawyers take on what’s happening.

This is what is happening. She does not want a reversal. They will get him competent to stand trial and then they will go forward.

This is not a "not guilty by reason of insanity" finding at this point.

I would support the family if they chose to pursue vigilante justice

I don't know the legal system, but it sounds like he's going to a psychiatric hospital until he is fit to stand trial, not avoiding a trial all together.

We don't need to spend one red cent trying to fix someone that broken. Put them down like a rabid dog.

Exactly. The “abundance of caution”’is pretty clearly so that a guilty verdict can’t be thrown out on appeal later. But, of course, the snowflakes didn’t bother to read and think critically before sky screaming about “muh progressives.”

This little a-hole will wind up spending the rest of his life in prison. They’re just delaying it a bit make sure. This is a nothing burger.

Wow. Vegas elected seven (7) public defenders to the bench in one election.

If things work like they should, he will eventually face trial for killing that man once declared competent. That was no "Get Out of Jail Free" card for this POS, it's just delaying it.

If that were my dad, I’d kill two people. The thug and the judge. They both are at fault.

The order, issued by Eighth Judicial District Judge District Judge Christy Craig, was out of an “abundance of caution”

Article from December 2020
quote:

Community organizing in Nevada’s Clark County helped judicial candidates “flip the bench” to challenge cash bail and mass incarceration.

When Christy Craig started working at the public defender’s office in Clark County, Nevada, in 1998, she didn’t plan to ever run for judge. “I knew that was my gig,” Craig said. “I couldn’t have been happier to be there.” Since then, Craig has represented thousands of defendants and scored landmark wins in suits against the State on issues of correctional mental health and cash bail.

But soon Craig will be leaving the public defender’s office to become a judge on the Eighth Judicial District Court, the criminal and civil court of Clark County, which includes the Las Vegas metro area.

These seven public defenders, all women, many women of color, are now set to become judges in January.

The place he is being sent to is a maximum security facility. It is basically a prison except the inmates are crazy, screaming lunatics. Prison would be easier.

Mob rule is dog shite rule. Obviously the kid is broken, but if you're not competent to stand trial it's our judicial system to get you competent, or lock you away in a looney bin. Same end result, and probably costs about the same at this point.

I've been saying this. Not until Fed Alphabet Agency seventh floor guy's wives shopping in NOVA, or their daughters at VT and UVa get bufu'd in a parking lot or stairwell by some third-world MS13,etc..gangs..

We're running out of Carmels, Sun Valleys, Jackson Holes etc..to run off to..the buttfrickings and murders will not only be amongst the mere peasants much longer..the barrio grows.

He will spend more time in prison this way, most likely. After they determine he is competent he will stand trial, and if convicted, there is a much lower chance that it will be tossed on appeal.

If they convict him now, an appeal judge may toss the verdict due to his lack of competence.
