Vape versus cigarettes - what's btter

A friend of mine said that he smoked a pack of cigarettes a day before switching to vaping. I don't now how vape compares to cigarettes, but he is constantly vaping - like every 20 mins. If I had to guess his vaping habit is still comparable to a pack a day. What does the OT think?

Vaping is a thousand times better for the user and everyone around them. Just don't be one of those assholes who blows massive white clouds everywhere.
ETA: I don't vape but know several pack-a-day smokers who have made the switch.

Depends on how much nicotine is in his juice. I used a vape to quit smoking. Eventually had almost no nicotine in the juice and I just quit using it.

Every time I see someone pull out these ridiculous vape pens I think the same.
Then I watch my mother-in-law smoke a cigarette and I think vaping is far better.

I do a great deal of vaping while doing yoga. I really like to feel like I'm doing yoga on a huge Misty Mountain Top.

Neither are great healthwise from what I hear, but the tobacco-less vapes are still a much better alternative.
Culturally, idk which is worse--trashy cigarettes or childish/douchy vapes.

Neither is good for you.
One is proven to be horrible for you and the other is trending that way it just needs more research.

Stake out a vape shop and compare it to a discount cig and liquor shop. Both are a similar level of trash but one is like newer trash and the other is old trash. I will add that there is probably more criminal activity around the vape shops but more cancer around the discount cig shop.
