Interesting timing for this to break, during the memorial service. But I think some of us saw this coming.

quote:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The widow of Kobe Bryant has sued the owner of the helicopter that crashed in fog and killed her husband and her 13-year-old daughter last month. The wrongful death lawsuit filed by Vanessa Bryant in Los Angeles says the pilot was careless and negligent by flying in cloudy conditions Jan. 26 and should have aborted the flight.

Sad all around. We’ll never know what really went down. Whether or not the pilot made a bad error in judgement or if he was pressured by passengers to fly anyway.

What, she doesn't have enough money with what Kobe made during his career and made in investments????

It's not like she's going to be a pauper and has to get a secretaries job to make ends meet.

Pilot’s dead too. Gonna go after the money of his surviving family who is also grieving and likely has a lot less of it than Vanessa? Weak sauce. Besides, that dude didn’t fly unless Kobe told him to. Just terrible look by Vanessa.

She is suing the company, not the pilot's family.

Doesn't mean he can't be liable. Not sure if the pilot was his employee or not but owners can be responsible for the bad/negligent acts of their employees in some situations.

Serval other pilots that have flown Kobe said it's very unlikely he would pressure the pilot to fly.

OP is unclear. Is she suing the owner or the pilot? Or were they the same person? Get it together OP.
