Not quite how supply and demand works...

well i'm primarily talking about the initial 2 shots

boosters are going to get people fed up. i also don't know if it's going to be possible to effectively track all of that across hundreds of millions of people.

Do we see how
"Vast majority of unvaccinated all have higher than a 4 year degree level education"
Is false yet?

I never said that. I was responding to someone who said the vast majority can't afford air travel, implying that unvaccinated people are poor, and thus uneducated.

Speculation is they will be approving the EUA for the vaccine for those 5+ in the fall.

Like I said already, there was a time in this world pretty recently that we thought giving people lobotomies worked and even handed out the Nobel Prize for it. We also have had many drugs recalled well after being used for years. Zantac comes to mind and you used to be able to buy it over the counter. Acting like medicine is infallible is idiotic.

I am still in wait-and-see mode but the ineffectiveness of the vaccine to prevent Covid (I understand it reduces symptoms) this far along with the questionable data on side effects make me feel better about my decision every day.

It's not an act of Patriotism but one of self-preservation for now. However, I like to think that there will be some people that eventually stand up to the Gestapo-like tactics we are starting to see.

life is going to get very difficult for the non-vaccinated

I think you are right, at least for a certain amount of time. I feel that there are plenty of people that got the vaccine that will not continue to get it if it's something that needs to be done every year. Eventually even the vaccinated will get sick of it.

As long as it keeps the trash out of the airports I’m fine with a price increase.

Is this like Logan's Run? When I turn 50 will my account expire. Is that why there are so many alters?

Not long after that, all children age 2 and up will need COVID vaccination before flying.

The United States is spiraling into tyranny to the sound of thunderous applause.

We never left - the immune response during the first 4 weeks can sometimes cause antibodies to bind to platelet 4 factor leading to a confirmational change in the protein that attracts surrounding carbohydrates which aid in platelets binding together in a clotting mechanism

This was proven to happen in the astrazeneca vaccine (why it was pulled in some places). Conveniently, no similar studies seem to be available for Moderna and Pfizer.

If a person keeps getting boosters for something with no long term information - they are increasing unknown risks overtime

oh agreed

Covid fatigue, in general, is a real thing. curious when it really sinks in. I'm guessing if Thanksgiving and Christmas get disrupted again, the public response to the winter wave in early 2022 may be....chilling

Which is an issue, in and of itself. How many people would continue getting boosters? And if you miss one or two, what then? Fully re-vaccinated?

So... can we add TB shots to this, what about other vaccines?

Yeah. If Jones were around, he’d tell you i mentioned us maybe considering going ahead and going get the vaccine soon no less than 10 times over the past 3 months. We were planning Mexico and I figured it would just be easier.

Then I got Covid 3 weeks ago and was down for the count for 10 days, it just so happened that coincided with all of the new info coming out.. which ALSO coincided with woke New Orleans restaurant owners deciding to check people’s vaccine paperwork (this is before Latoya mandated it).

Once I recovered from Covid, the urgent priority to go get vaccinated wasn’t at the top of my list since I had it pretty bad and know I’m at least protected for the time being.

Now we are here and some of this has gotten so… weird. They’re recommending 3 shots, plus 1-2 more every year? And somehow businesses are going to keep track of who is expired and who isn’t?

Wouldn’t be surprised if they create some sort of digital thing that you’d have to put on your phone that basically is green or red for patrons when scanned so they know who is up to date and can be let in..

That’s a bit too far for me for the time being. I’ll hopefully wait and see where we are in 3-5 months when I’ve likely started to lose protection. I have time.

Get the vaccine so we can go back to normal

Well you're already vaccinated why would you care about needing the vaxpass app

You already have the vaxpass app, just get the booster its easy

What did you think the 4th line was for?

Oh sweet, vaxapp update adds 6 more lines.

So boomers take no responsibility for the generation they raised? Do you not see the irony in your post?
I was reared by Boomers. When I think about how I was reared, it is a far cry from how children are reared today. We never had any deep philosophical discussions about character, integrity, etc. but they held me to my obligations when young. If I showed an interest and aptitude in something, they would support it even if they couldn't relate to it. They never really organized anything for me -- I was left to do that on my own whether it was finding someone to play with in the neighborhood or doing my homework. The economic situation was such that if I wanted $20 then I had to find a job because they didn't have money to hand out. There was also no 'poor me' allowed. Maybe it was their caring about the important things and making/letting me figure everything out on my own that has served me so well today. So, I should thank my parents for not being helicopter parents or pushing their own agendas on me.
