Let’s say we get the vaccine whenever- 6 months, year, or longer, doesn’t matter.

The vaccine is 40,50,60 percent effective, maybe more.

Then you get schools, businesses, etc requiring the vaccine to enter places/play ball in life, similar to how places are requiring masks and distancing right now.

Then you factor maybe 10-40 percent of folks refusing to get the vaccine (conspiracy fear, side effects fear, whatever)...

If all this mask wearing is causing so much controversy, imagine what we will be dealing with when folks are dealing with whether or not people have gotten the vaccine.

Someone please paint me a realistic picture where the chaos doesn’t go to another level

I still won't take it -- not an anti vaxer and my son was one of the first to receive the chicken pox vaccine (which wasn't rushed).

RUSHED is my issue with this ... I don't care about that trials go well ... I want time to tell how these things will help/harm.

Will we be relatively content as a society with any scenario?

what does any of this have to do with who the president is cause that's all that this charade is about.

I am not even concerned about a vaccine. I just want a medicine that can be taken to keep it from getting bad.

True for the media but not for the companies afraid of lawsuits and whatever percentage of Americans that are truly afraid of the virus regardless of who the president is

I’m more worried that the new vaccine being rushed to completion will result in people growing additional limbs and shite. I’ll give it a few years before I take it.

Which is your right.

I'll definitely take it assuming the clinical trials showed no serious side effects such as the limited trial results Pfizer announced this morning.

It will probably been only given to the elderly & compromised like the pneumonia vaccine

No reason for everyone else to take it

It is a virus, so this probably won't happen. At best, we will end up with an accepted treatment protocol that gives you the best chance. As for a vaccine, I hope we get one, but so far there has never been an effective vaccine for a coronavirus.

Some kind of vaccine passport requirement would be scary.

I agree. I’m all about vaccines. A vaccine can’t be rushed. Asking for trouble.

If the vaccine is only 40-60% effective you will get most folks deciding to forego it.

It will be interesting to see if it's made available with only that percentage of efficacy.

We can just tattoo 666 on the foreheads of everyone who gets the vaccine so they'll be easily identifiable.

Are you fricking kidding? The football team just had the greatest season ever. It was freaking mind-blowingly awesome. People were bitching about the defense.
