Thanks to modern medicine, none so far I believe. However, that’s not really the point.

Federal health officials are investigating a outbreak of measles this year that has spread to 21 states and the District of Columbia

The ironic thing about all of this - is I believe it was traced back to starting with a kid who had not gotten vaccinated.... and had autism - like, you gave your damn kid, and many many other kids Measles... so that your kid could still have autism?

I just don't understand morons who believe this shite

I didn't realize this until a few weeks ago. A friend of mine's wife is a teacher and this subject came up and I asked her how do kids, whose parents don't want to get them vaccinated, get them into school. And she said they have to sign papers saying the reason their kids are not vaccinated is due to religious beliefs.

That's some crazy shite.

Until you’ve lived with a kid with this disease don’t judge. I was trying to teach my kid to weld and play travel ball but he wanted to paint and play piano. I tried whipping him, add pills, the works. Then I took him to the doctor and the doctor said he was mildly artistic.

The only way they would have autism is they were vaccinated Thats where autism comes from

No it doesnt and you’re a damn fool if you believe it does.

Even if every case of Autism was caused by vaccinations, it would still be the better decision to vaccinate to prevent dozens of deadly diseases. Would you rather your child die from measles or have autism? Our developed world has forgotten the deadly epidemics of the of past and we should be grateful to live in the era of modern medicine.

When it it comes to autism, I am not at all educated enough on the topic to hold a discussion about it, but I do know "it's on a spectrum" and that there is a wide range of behaviors that can be considered autistic.

The problem with that is.. There are probably a lot of kids that can be technically considered autistic, however; they are able to function normal. They have no problems interacting with others, they can control their behavior, etc.. But a parent can say "I have an autistic child" and that automatically becomes an excuse for behaviours that need to be addressed, but instead, it isn't because they child is "autistic".

It has to be an insult to parents who have severely autistic children.

But there is no question there are parents who uses that as an excuse for their child's behavior. It's the same with ADD/ADHD. Someone has an active kid. The parents are too tired to "keep up" with the kid.. So because the kid keeps going when they are too tired.. Well, the kid must be ADD/ADHD. They need to get him on meds.

It is.

And vaccines didnt cause my sons autism or cerebral palsey. I have medical proof of that.

I have three kids, and every one is up to date on every vaccine

It's 107 cases out of 400 million people. This seems to be blown out of proportion a bit.

Nope. I'm just saying if 10 people got measles, and the majority was were unvaccinated, that would mean maybe 6...the other 4 would tell you what?

4 vaccinated got measles. So does it wprk?

Vaccines are like a training course for the immune system. They prepare the body to fight disease without exposing it to disease symptoms. When foreign invaders such as bacteria or viruses enter the body, immune cells called lymphocytes respond by producing antibodies, which are protein molecules.

its not a cure, its a deterrent

If they are around others who didnt get vaccinated, the chance of contracting the disease expoentionally goes up.

And where did you get 6/10, your arse?

Then what is the point? Parents don't decide to not vaccinate just for the hell of it. There are multiple reasons. Some kids, like mine, have a genetic mutation making vaccine additives toxic for their bodies. Why should I risk their lives to give them a vaccine when the thing they are vaccinating against is not really that serious or that probable?
