There are mental health screenings in school?

Since when?

How is that legal?

I feel for the kids that witnessed it. I feel for the family as well.

Lots have those. Often done concurrently with health screenings.

Mental Health is a major problem in this country.

Absolutely.
Not sure why anyone would want to cut mental health screenings and programsin schools

Possibly because the results are mixed or negative. We can put kids on antidepressants but we have been doing that for decades now and we just have more depression among millennials and Gen Z kids.

Getting rid of the phone and social media helps though

They has become an interesting pronoun of late, for hundreds of years it has been used as a singular pronoun even occasionally when the gender is known. Considered substandard by most style guides it has always existed in casual conversation or writing without thought of gender neutrality.

The interesting issue is the correct reflexive form of the singular they has almost always been considered to be "themselves" by most style guides. Though again, style guides until recently would have suggested only using it when the gender was unknown but it has been very common when gender was known.

My point being that themselves has been considered the proper singular reflexive for decades, separate from any gender neutrality.

It’s actually not.

SLC only has a population of 215k in the city limits.

It’s the only city with a Dem mayor unless I’m missing one.

SLC metro is like 1.2 million. Salt Lake City–Provo–Ogden, UT Combined Statistical Area is around 2.7. But you're right, I guess it wouldn't be considered "big" compared to many other big cities in the U.S., but its big enough in the context of what I was trying to say.
