Defund usps, and let fedex/ups pick up the load.
FedEx and UPS often drop off packages at USPS for the “final mile.”

Holidays are always a busy time for USPS. Add the fact that a lot more people are buying online and shipping gifts instead of traveling and bringing gifts with them for Christmas because of Covid. Not to mention Trump tried to cripple the USPS this fall.

most were finalized by USPS.
I never have major issues once it gets to my local post office. It is the transit across the country that is awful.

Ordered Nov 28, shipped 11/30....received 12/24

Defending the USPS is a losing proposition.

FedEx is almost just as bad.
You speak the truth. Unfortunately, over the last 3-4 months, we have experienced significant delays when something is shipped via FedEx. The package just sits in a bin at a facility and the online status just says “pending” for days/weeks on end.

They rigged the election you think they give a frick about your Christmas present

I’ll never get the hate on the USPS, we don’t allow them to keep up on rates, we keep reducing their locations and staffing, and then complain when they have trouble keeping up. It was better than ups and FedEx, and still about the same, but we keep fricking them over. I rather ship with USPS over those two any day.

I shipped my gifts to my brother and parents Monday through FedEx. Parents received theirs Tuesday and my brother received his on Wednesday. Was very shocked because it usually doesn't work out that way. Hate doing big packages through USPS for that very reason.

All I can say is that my mom still uses paper billing for everything. When you have to start calling to pay bills because the bill doesn't get to you in time for the turnaround not to be late and get late fees applied, there's a problem. Hell, her homeowner's insurance for next year arrived 2 days before it was due.

Just the typical right-wing hate on any and all Federal agencies.
It's not like just about everyone was warning us there could be massive delays in mail delivery this winter.

they have always sucked, now, when you need them, they are just getting exposed at how horribly they really are.
USPS is full of lazy workers, making nice coin on tax payers backs.

they are still finding fake ballots all over the place and trying to figure out where to burn them all

They were Johnny on the spot with mail in ballots though.
Heck, they were probably able to pick up some extra ballots from some clandestine addresses.

Often is a stretch. There are some programs that allow you ship ups and FedEx to PO Boxes. And they have a surepost system that allows postal delivery but more used for remote delivery. The vast majority of shipments shipped with ups/FedEx are delivered by ups/FedEx
