Good. The natives didn’t deserve to eat at the same table.

With the upcoming holiday, known by many as Thanksgiving but recognized by Native American communities as the National Day of Mourning, Peters and other Indigenous activists and scholars are advocating for the recognition of the Wampanoag's true history. They say that must be grounded in the fact that they existed far before and long after the pilgrims' first harvest feast. quote:The History Channel says that the pilgrims invited the Native Americans to the feast, but Peters said that part is a myth. "There wasn't an invitation extended to invite the Wampanoag to come and feast with them," she said. "It was really quite by accident, that there were any shared festivities at all." quote:Whetstone said she hopes that as people sit with the truth, they feel inspired to take action. She suggested the following: - Changing language to reflect the history of the day by calling it "Truthsgiving" or "Thankstaking" - Incorporating more indigenous foods into Thanksgiving meals - Donate or participate in local action events Whetstone emphasized that, as Indigenous peoples are not a monolith, many will have different opinions and relationships to the day.

The world can be a brutal place filled with terrible things. I cannot imagine being so miserable that I need to hijack a day dedicated to thankfulness and sharing a great meal with family & friends and make it another day dedicated to misery. Progressives are just miserable people.

The rest of the world doesn’t get preached to about this stuff…. They were here when the settlers arrived… over the course of a couple hundred years they were conquered. If we the new nation had followed the example of their European heritage, they would have eliminated the indigenous or nationalized them and erased their history….

Since they didn’t they now win the prize of being judged by modern society without ever having been given the perspective of it..

Too stuffed and festive to type out a detailed contradiction on my phone, but that article is bullshite. Several tribes used the Separatists for mutual gain and protection.

Look at all those tribes...do they think those borders were permanent? They they weren't constantly warring, killing, raping and conquering, like peoples on every other continent?

It's ridiculous

The only land that's "yours" is land you can defend, or take.

The "natives" were constantly raping, pillaging, killing and scalping other "natives." They lived in tee-pees in the prehistoric state of nature, died young and owned nothing. They conquered others by force and savagery was the only life they understood. This 21st century leftist revisionism, trying to drag down the greatest country in history, is bullshite.

They weren't even "natives".

They came from Asia and slaughtered the existing peoples.

Just like the Europeans came and did the same to them

Yes. They're called TigerDroppings posters. The only group of people who would post crap like this on Thanksgiving in hopes that you will react.
