I’ve actually read that during the surrender ceremony the American general stated we never lost a battle to the north Vietnamese. Their leader responded, and yet you’re the one leaving the vanquished.

We did lose this war but not because our soldiers weren’t the best fighting force in the world, we lost because the American people do not have the stomach to be a world power.
