That’s been reality for the past two decades. I’ve managed to survive.

Ready for that, Mr. Enlightened Centrist?
This kind of happened to me at Chimes. It was a male who likely identified as female. He/she even called me love.

I'm confused by the fact that this barely-remembered, completely tangential rant of mine keeps getting replies when clearly there's other shite going on here.
That said, this board does seem like a good place for info on Baton Rouge dining establishments. Suffice it to say that The Chimes is now officially on the "Off-Limits Establishments" list here at Fort Porpus.

Five years ago a tranny with a beard sold me a new pro spray pump for my tractor.
Of course he was maybe 20. Idk if that helps or hurts whatever argument you wanted to make

The News
The track star Tori Bowie was eight months pregnant and in labor at the time of her death, according to an autopsy report shared with The New York Times. The autopsy lists respiratory distress and eclampsia as possible complications.
Frentorish Bowie, or Tori for short, a sprinter who competed at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics and won a silver medal in the 100 meters, a bronze in the 200 meters and a gold in the 4x100-meter relay, died at age 32. It was days before she was found.
Her death was confirmed by U.S.A. Track & Field on May 3. No cause of death or exact date of death was known. There were no signs of foul play.
Pre-eclampsia, a dangerous condition characterized by high blood pressure that develops during pregnancy, can turn into eclampsia, a rare and severe complication characterized by seizures and the onset of a coma.
Many studies have shown a greater risk of pre-eclampsia among Black women in the United States. One of Bowie’s Olympic teammates, Allyson Felix, underwent an emergency C-section because of severe pre-eclampsia.

Background: She was discovered by deputies.
Sheriff’s deputies in Orange County, Fla., conducted a wellness check on Bowie on May 2 after she had not been seen or heard from in several days.
Officials at the Orange County medical examiner’s office cautioned that her official cause of death could be pending for up to three months because of toxicology tests.
Her pregnancy had been confirmed at her funeral service on May 13. A program provided at the service near her hometown, Sandhill, Miss., said Bowie was preceded in death by a daughter, Ariana Bowie.
The same day, an official at the Orange County medical examiner’s office confirmed a “baby Bowie” but declined to provide further information.

Really sad story. Mortality rates during delivery are always shockingly high to me.

Look I've been fortunate to live a relatively easy life, but if this is one of your biggest worries/fears to elicit this much emotion, wow you've got it made in the shade

Thanks for updating this.
God what a terrible story
I’m sure the usual suspects from early in the thread will be here shortly to recant and show some shame for their ignorance

Who the hell had that as a possibility?
The idiots on the board: That's what they are reporting it as. They are reporting all deaths caused by the vaccine as something else.

I would very much like to know if she was diagnosed with "Pre-eclampsia" and if her family knew. If she knew she had this, why was she alone? If it was severe, why wasn't she hospitalized?

Because she might not have been diagnosed with it yet. Some pathology/blood work done in autopsy probably indicated it.
OR
She may have been told she was trending towards it at a recent prenatal visit. However, it says she was alone for days at 32 weeks, so perhaps her last visit was at 28 weeks and it wasn’t yet detected. I personally don’t start popping alarming blood pressures until 32+ weeks, and that’s relatively early. Many don’t until 36+ weeks.
It seems the details are so sparse and sketchy, and that she clearly wasn’t living with a partner or friend, hence why it took days for people to notice they had not heard from her. This isn’t a scenario that’s going to happen with a married woman or someone living with their partner and family. And… some of the tributes point to her having mental struggles so good chance many didn’t even know she was pregnant and she possibly wasn’t even going to an OBGYN routinely or at all. I’m not making accusatory statements here, but just trying to make guesses here based on knowing her disease state personally.
I will say it again: she very likely had no idea she had preeclampsia, especially if she wasn’t going to an OBGYN. I mean, many who aren’t highly trained specialists miss it. One test they do at every visit is a urine dip test for protein in the urine. I had HELLP and preeclampsia with severe features and never once popped with protein in my urine. But my labs showed my kidneys and liver shutting down. It’s an entirely misunderstood disease and I’ve been told by multiple high risk specialists that it’s the most hated bc they simply can’t figure out the cause, origins, etc. The best they can do is recommend daily baby aspirin for patients with hx and closely monitor the patient for indications of reoccurrence.
The more you research it, the more confused you may be.
