The OT will eat this up, but who gives a shite. My life is good here, I’m not leaving.

Yep. I know it’s a shitty state and I hate almost everything about living here, but I have a bunch of family nearby and I make damn good money.
When my parents die in the next year or two, I may leave, but I’m not sure where I will go.

Well, we build new roads to nowhere.
We leave bridges in place which have been obsolete for 30 years and then add what was needed 5 years ago while approving construction projects which will overwhelm the new project.
We rely on neighborhood roads which have become major arteries and make no efforts to improve them. Kicking the can down the road to the point of ridiculousness.
Yes, our politicians are corrupt.
So do you have a plan - beyond running away?

Makes sense. Place is a shithole.

Yes....basic formations on offense. Nothing exotic.

Utah has great scenery, outdoor sports, good universities....
I'm not criticizing the state at all. I would say Utah does not have a good party scene/food rep.

It’s like the Hotel California. You can check out anytime you’d like, but you can never leave.

Nah.... We got some of the best lakes to fish in and the people here are awesome and keep it real. If you have a good house and neighborhood and enjoy exercising at your club and meeting people and eating at some of the best restaurants on earth, then why is that bad? As a whole, Louisiana is a great state if you choose your friends, location, and extracurricular activities carefully to enjoy a good life.

I am having a good life here. Enjoy the people and food.

I’d rather live here than Los Angeles.
