A U.S. Navy investigation into the spread of the coronavirus aboard the Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier found that about 60 percent of sailors tested had antibodies for the virus, suggesting a far higher infection rate than previously known on one of world's largest warships.

Incorrect. A chief petty officer ended up dying due to complications from having COVID-19. But that's one out of a crew of almost 5,000.

But the sky screaming captain said everyone was going to die!!!!!!

What a loser. Dude should have been jailed in addition to being relieved.

We know more about the virus now than we did back then. And we still don't know a whole lot, learning more weird things every week.

I don't think he ever said that.

He simply told his superiors that the Carrier might not be combat ready due to the illness which turned out to be true

The carrier had to be ported/quarantined for a month

Wrong. It wasn't telling his superiors anything that got him canned. It was not following the chain of command (which has now come into question) and email blasting so many people that it was guaranteed to end up in the hands of the media.

In his defense, your stupid arse political stances tend to bring that out in people.

What’s it for the flu again?

0.26% is the number the CDC gave out. It’s almost certainly higher than that (probably about 0.5%), but in any event it’s 13 times higher than what you wrote.
