The pendulum has swung insanely in the female favor. It's hard to justify relationships, especially marriages, when the man bares so much of the financial risk.

I put blame on the media for many high profile fake rape cases where the guys life was destroyed anyways, romcoms/Disney for putting unrealistic expectations of what relationships/marriages are supposed to be, and tons of shite on lawyers who have fostered a society where divorce is common place.

This is becoming more common. People are starting to realize that they can have a family without the complicated mess that comes with marriage.

Huh? The complicated mess = commitment. The subset of couples that are raising productive members of society but are not married and will never be married is infinitesimal. They're not "enlightened".

That's perfectly fine on an individual level, but for the group it has poor consequences. As long as we can accept that, we don't have to look very far for the reasons things get worse socially as time moves along.

A lot of my friends want to get married but they're waiting until they're financially able to pay for it. Most have thousands of dollars in student debt and entry level jobs, or they're still getting a law degree or doctorate.

And I live in a conservative part of the nation, Tennessee.

4. High value guys put off marriage because they can easily use hook up apps and culture to be happily single longer.

and high value guys can always find a younger gal who wants a mature man.

Sadly, if a woman waits too long, she will be paste her prime.

Can't blame men. The average american woman is terrible. Bitchy and way too demanding without much to offer you in return.

Foreign women are usually happy just to have a roof over their heads and food on the table.

The older I get the more I realized how blessed I am to never have gotten married.

And most of those guys will get divorced before 30. I only had one buddy out of everyone I know who married that early. Half of us are still not married at 32/33. There aren't many "marriage material" girls around.

I will also say that less and less girls are wanting to have kids, while the number of guys who want them has pretty much stayed the same. Why would anyone get married to a chick who didn't want kids if they did? I won't even waste my time on them. The entire point of life in the history of biology of every living thing ever is to produce successful offspring to promote your genetics. Dumb bitches don't want that now, so they go in the trash pile

But there are also a lot of highly educated young people now who realize marriage is a terrible investment and completely unnecessary to live a fruitful life. Those people don't harm society

Marriage is a commitment and unfortunately most young people don't know what that means. To often today when things get hard people give up and quit.

I can say with ease that most (not all) of the millenials I have met have no business getting married. Forget about all the statistics: at it's core, marriage is a lifelong commitment, and today's snowflakes are in no frame of mind to commit to study for a test, let alone their lives to a mate.

This is a good thing.

True. You can. Many people do it and raise a family just as well or better than married couples.

But in terms of stability, the likelihood of that couple splitting up is almost double that of a married couple.

Nail on the head. People celebrating this are not seeing the big picture.

In all seriousness, why the frick would an American guy marry a U.S. born girl? Makes absolutely no sense. Just go visit any county in South America and marry the hottest girl you want. There's a good chance her family is wealthy over there and she will worship you. I'm dating a girl from South America right now and I'm 95% sure I'm done with American women if we break up.

I agree!!!!

Who in the frick wants to get married at 23???? You haven't even become the adult you yet let alone slay enough pussy to stave off any hood rat that is attracted to the precious (your wedding ring.)

Financially and socially getting married at 23 is a REALLY frickING BAD MOVE.
