I grew up in NH where the right to revolt against the government is protected in the state constitution. I recognize that right, and feel others should have that right as well.
However, if you're going to do it then do it. These people in today's disgusting stunt were half-assed cosplayers. They did nothing productive, only destructive. They were chumps that were allowed to keep their lives because Capitol Police decided to stand down.

We could return most powers back to the states and still be the United States of America. That would actually be more aligned with the original intent of the country than what we have now.

Reducing power of the central government doesn't undo the USA. This was how the country was prior to Lincoln.
The power has been growing more central ever since, with a slight blip in WWII where it grew a hell of a lot temporarily.
DC is a cesspool, there's no saving it. Wouldn't it be nice to have power located within relative distance rather than some ivory tower bitches running everything? You know, if you don't like your city you can move to one that fits you better...
