My biggest issue is ending the American empire. Without that, we can never have small government. End the wars, bring all of the troops home, get out the UN, disband NATO and cease all foreign aid.

I just want to pay as low taxes as possible to still have a somewhat functional, albeit much smaller federal government and to be left the hell alone.

Bingo. There are so many disillusioned voters in the middle and they're completely ignored because candidates have to pander to "the base" which has become more extreme on both sides. A centrist candidate from either party will have a cakewalk to the oval office in 2024.

Take what you want from the strategy and disregard for norms and leave the flawed human being behind.
I'm opposed to a Trump 2024 run because he refused to get rid of Jared Kushner or at least keep him away from domestic politics and running the reelection campaign.
Kushner may have good foreign policy chops but his domestic political instincts suck arse and if you were paying attention, you could see that play out a lot over the past 4 years with the mixed messaging and hires from the administration and the campaign.
