well they were throwing a lot of Dr's in jail when Dr's claim they should have some leeway in prescribing meds
Any many if not most of those doctors were prescribing Just to line their pockets without regard for their patients.

Years ago, there was a sort of generic or Bayer product on the market called “paragoric”. It was a thick, minty flavored liquid in a small bottle. It was the single best medicine on the planet to stop diarrhea and you could buy it over the counter at your local druggist (yes, they used to be called that). You had to sign for it and no prescription was necessary, but every family had a small bottle of it for family members and diarrhea, particularly when bad food, or the stomach bug got everybody at once. Virtually 99.9% of the population did not like the taste or think of it in any way other than “yuk, I sure hope it makes me better”. Well, it had a minute grain of morphine in it and addicts thought it a great idea to drink twenty bottles of the stuff at once to nod out and then be constipated for a week. The Feds stepped in and no more paragoric.

To be fair, the reason we started getting illicit fentanyl pills was because real pharmaceutical pills on the street dried up and people addicted had to look for other options.
This could reverse that. It’s all a big mess

Yeah, but not because of this. This is a good thing.

I actually support them loosening the restrictions. There is a time and place where two days of pills are not going to cut it. Yes I get the pill mill stuff. They just need to let those do dr’s rot in jail

Considering the Feds got a wild hair up their arse to tighten down on doctors with little warning, which led directly to people in legitimate need getting get off, which led to the explosion in black market fentanyl pill mills......I see this as trying to curb the impact of their initial frick up.
Just stop. The initial frick up was selling Oxy while LYING and saying it’s not addictive.
Holy shite. It should be gone it should never have been sold and any doctor or pharmacists still pushing this shite are fricking scumbags.
How many more people have to die?

While people that need it should get the meds, the pill farms will open back up and we will have an opiod crisis again. It's really a catch 22, but I would rather those that really need them get them.

The crackdown scared all doctors. Had a bulged disc in my lower back from mistake squatting and sport doctor thought that I had broke my back. He got me in with the top back specialist in Houston within 24 hrs. I asked for anything to manage the pain and all he could offer was muscle relaxers and steroid pak. Bunch of Worthless shite. 7 yrs later if I tweek my back that’s all they’ll give me. So I have pills from Mexico and edibles. Forced to self medicate.

hopefully this fixes the damn issue I had with my wife after her sinus surgery.
dr wrote a script for hydrocodone. 1-2 pills per day as needed for two weeks.
well couldn't fill script at winn dixie because they didnt have it. So tried to fill at Walmart. "oh we have these pills but because the script didn't say 1 OR 2 exclusively", they couldnt fill the script because of Federal guidance.
Neither could walgreens.
wound up going to Polks drugs who pr0ceeded to tell me that the b9gger pharmacies weren't writing those because they were being retarded with Fed guidance.

Other drugs have overtaken them in overdose statistics
BECAUSE OF the tight guidelines.
The old pill mills were put out of business and many doctors arrested as the documentary "The Pharmacist" detailed.
But, the federal government is now going to allow these pill mills to get back up and running?
F*CK the entire corrupt and Illegitimate Biden administration.

I also think they need to reevaluate the pseudoephedrine BS you have to go through for a decongestant.
Yeah, talk about an unnecessarily restrictive cap on how much sudafed or Claritin D you can get in a month.
And scheduled drug regulations are even more ridiculous. Marijuana is still classified as a Schedule I--the same as heroin, while fricking meth is a Schedule II.

Meth is given to prepubescent children whose lazy parents don’t understand why their 7 year old won’t sit quiet and still for days on end without exercise or consequences and a horrific diet

My 17 yr old and 19 yr old got their wisdom teeth extracted recently. They were each prescribed exactly 12 Hydrocodone 5mgs after the procedure.
That is plenty for two girls. I had two days worth and then Advil. Maybe they have a high tolerance…. Take that for what it is.

So pharmaceuticals put money in politicians pockets in order to get laws and guidelines changed to benefit them? Is this supposed to be breaking news?
