Downtown Hilton has been hit or miss for me. I use Renaissance almost exclusively now and get great feedback.

Lauberge is AAA 4 Diamond rated... if that means anything. I hear the rooms are damn nice.

Upscale Hotel Recommendations for Baton Rouge

Typically I couldn't care less about a nice hotel because I would only sleep in it but seeing how you'll be in BR I can understand why you would need a bit more than just a bed.

I wouldn’t bring 3 out of state guests to BR for their Louisiana experience. Stick to Nola, Lafayette or even the north shore.

Watermark is actually a great choice. Hilton is also good but I think they may be renovating now.

Never stayed at Indigo.

Yeah that's a nice one as well. Kind of far out but definitely a great hotel.

The Marriott was recently remodeled if those are too pricey.

It's less of a cluster to get in and out of..and the rooms are on the same level. The restaurant in the Marriott is really good.

Watermark

Their amenities for business meetings can’t be touched.
For example, the old bank vault is a conference room with WiFi and data hook ups with flatscreen

We stayed there a few weeks ago, was great. The breakfast buffet is very good too.

Looking for arrangements to host a business get-together for four firms from out of town (3 are from outside of Louisiana).

I haven’t been to BR in a few years, but am hoping they now have a legitimate first class hotel for affluent guests, with a decent hotel bar to accompany.

The renaissance hotel on Bluebonnet is what you're looking for.

They have a lot of meeting rooms including one big ballroom that are very spacious and also have a legit restaurant and bar if you have catering needs.

I like that they don’t carpet in the rooms. Google has it as a 3 star but it’s better than some 4 stars I’ve stayed in. Hilton does have the club lounge or whatever that includes free beer, wine and appetizers.
