This line of thinking is horrible. Blame the private sector company and sue them for what failed policy from the city/parish elected officials and their law enforcement created.
That is precisely the only thing that will become of this incident.

I understand where you are coming from.
I do think that a lack of leadership has everyone pulling 3 different ways rather than having a plan to work together. The last few weeks of city council inquires has hughlighted that. fricking shame it takes the council to be a mediator.
Unfortunately Katrina is what solved the 90/00's problems, can't hope for that again.

I think that’s the year when the city hit record highs in violent crime.

Ah. Was just referring to the peak in carjackings that was seen nationwide at that time. As a kid I remember them being a big deal. Even remember a somewhat high profile carjacking in the old Schwegman's off Sherwood Forest.
Popped in my mind so I looked at what the late 90's numbers were and the shite was bad nationwide.

Yea, and some guy plowing down the center lane by himself over cones raises more red flags and gets more attention than a guy going around stealthily looking like the dozens of others doing it to get to the front pump 4 seconds faster.
I’ll say the spike in thefts went down dramatically with this approach and seems to be coming back now that they stopped.
Just moves it from lowest hanging fruit to simply hanging fruit. Not impossible to be targeted but less likely.

For them? It’s working out great.
Do you call ruling over a broken fearful city great?
They’re making big money, have power over everyone, move around without restrictions or masks, have drivers and use of city assets at their disposal and on and on.
Their view doesn’t include a fearful city and to them it certainly isn’t broken.

Exactly right. The elite ruling class gives zero fricks about localized crime. They virtue signaled their way into unadulterated power with an ignorant electorate.

It’s ok, she has insurance.
Isn’t this what the left says when condoning violence?

Wait till the one opens in Covington...the Hollygrove Costco will close within 3 months

I am shocked placing Costco near Hollygrove and Gert town leads to this

The cones won't deter them from committing the crime, but it will make it a little more difficult to sneak up next to the car so they can jump out of their car and in to your car. Once they have your car, they have no problem running over cones, pedestrians, bumping other cars...to get away.
Also, for the video in the OP, this is also the same move they make to snatch purses. Again, cones in the middle keeps them from being able to just cruise up next to the car to reach in, then jump back into their other car.

Costco just needs to install gates that you have to scan your costco card to get in and out. They won't though.

Yep. You know why.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Costco shut down the gas station if this keeps up.

They are a separate branch of our local government, so its about damn time they step in with checks/balances!

Evidently it is Costco’s corporate policy to not allow any armed guards or police on their premises. Not sure how true that is but it’s asinine if true.
