I always turn my vehicle off at the pump. I do it not because I'm concerned with blowing the joint up, but because I always lock my doors when at the pump. Pull up, turn off the ignition, pop the gas tank cover, lock doors with the beep for the alarm, and then pump gas.

I think its lazy to keep your vehicle running. You are basically asking for people to take your shite, but I am sure someone will say "well if you live in an area where you don't have to worry about that".. But don't give me that shite, the unexpected can happen anywhere. Don't make it easy for them.

Ive driven straight through the east and on to the twin span several times with my gas light on. I will not stop in NOLA. I'll take my chances with running out on the bridge.

I have tickets to see Nate Bargatze Friday night at 9:30 pm. Was just talking to my husband about whether or not he can conceal carry in the venue just to have a gun for the walk to the theatre. Actually kind of scared to go - but that might just be my mom anxiety because our oldest kid will be with us.

It definitely can, but those odds are definitely higher once you cross that lake into that mess of a city but don’t worry 8 year old kids must be vaccinated to attend public school.

hey're building Costco in Covington? Now we just need a Trader Joe's up here.

Yes it is going in where the old bankrupt shopping mail was going over by Academy. They break ground later this year.

Costco gas line has been a hot bed for car thefts for awhile now.

For awhile they were putting cones in the center to prevent drivers in the center lane. It was the right call though I’m sure people pitched fits having to wait for the rear car to finish to pull through sometimes

But seriously, it’s been an absurd number of thefts at Costco. Pay attention and lock your door while pumping.

For a single walk to and from your car the odds are incredibly in your favor to be fine even on the worst day of crime you could imagine. It’s really the volume of exposure living in it day in and day out that is worrisome at the current levels.

One of my staunchest NOLA defending friends was carjacked in New Orleans East at a gas station last week. His devoted support has kinda piped down a little bit recently.

People that live there have got to be tired of tPOS. The feeling of constantly being stalked by feral animals.

I was reading one of the New Orleans real estate agent groups on Facebook for the first time tonight and they are all reporting that all of their clients are fleeing Orleans Parish right now. This wasn't a couple of real estate agents this was around 10-12 very prominent realtors who are saying this is what they are seeing first hand.

Get gas at that Costco 3x per week going on 4 years and have never felt unsafe nor threatened. I’m also not an idiot who leaves the car running while pumping gas. Very easy solution to turn a soft target into a hard target.

Unless they have a metal detector at the front door they’ll never know as long as it is concealed well.
