Made I hate to hear this and I feel your pain. We lost our weim 2 months ago unexpectedly due to a seizure and he was only 5. Truly heartbreaking. My wife is on me about getting a puppy but I just can’t

I believe 100% we see them again one day. Dog is God backwards and sent here to show is His unconditional love. There’s no way we enter heaven and animals don’t. God loves His creatures.

We just had one of our favorite little pups pass away fairly unexpectedly and it hit real hard. Wife still upset. Mind you we have had many, very many, cats and dogs. But certain ones when they pass affect us more than others.
We mainly end up with more cats or dogs because others discard them , etc.
Nonetheless, we did get another one 2 days ago that was left at a motel parking lot.
This will help us heal and know that if one dog dies, we are giving another one a chance it might not have had.

Prayers for you and your family. Dogs are the best, and we don't deserve them.
She was a beautiful pup. I've lost 3 three, and it doesn't get any easier.
While dogs are a huge part of our lives, we are their whole life. Rest easy knowing you gave her the best life you could give a dog. God bless you.

Praying for Lucy and your family. My wife and I just got back from the Vets Clinic a couple of hours ago were we had our sweet Amber escorted to her maker. We are heartbroken but we know we made the right decision for her. I might urge that people consider adopting from rescues or shelters where there are so many forgotten cats and dogs waiting for their forever family.

My wife and I got two goldens when we were dating in college. Both passed while we had young kids (one from cancer). I still look back at pictures of our young kids with those dogs. There is truly no better family pet than a golden (if you can manage the hair).

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. This has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced and my boys handled it better than expected which is all that matters to me. My six year old absolutely adores Lucy and was sad to say goodbye but he understood why. My wife and I cried enough tears to drown an elephant because Lucy was our first baby. The last thing she knew was the love and hugs from us as she fell asleep.
I was fine today until I came home and Lucy wasn’t there to greet me at the back door. We’ve lived in this house since 2019 and all I’ve known since I’ve lived there when I get home from work Lucy would meet me right by the door and we would sit there for a couple minutes just me petting her and telling her I missed her and I’m so glad to see her. I’m sure that there will be other memories come up but that one stung hard and probably will sting the hardest.
My wife and son want another golden and I told her that I’m good with it as long as we go get a shelter pup too.
I was fine today until I came home and Lucy wasn’t there to greet me at the back door. I am sorry, she looks like a very good girl, only thing bad about dogs is their lifespan is too short.

Fantastic. Amber was one of our 5 rescues that make up our family and wouldn't have it any other way.
