If these leads don't work, there's a car meeting in October for MG fans and that has potential for your search.

One better.....we found it

So I called AAA to find out what the last tow for the MG was delivered to. The nice lady (her name was Aquarius ) directed me to a place off Westheimer and SW Fwy which is known for higher end restorations.

Sure enough, it's been there for get this....618 days The manager told me he thought my dad died which was true, but that he has an offer on it and my dad wasn't returning his calls for obvious reasons now known.

Thanks so much for your inputs @ the OT sleuths

Hopefully the daily storage fee isn't too extreme.

Goddamn, Idle Baw, so happy for you! Hopefully this helps knowing a piece of him is being returned to you. Sure is a beaut!

Pops 19 had an MGB that he absolutely adored, but Mom made him sell it in '71 when she got pregnant with yours truly.

His 6'2" arse looked a tad silly in it, TBH if I find a pic I'll post it.

It was either a '63 or '65. Hard to tell from memory of the album pic. Still have his Alpha Romero key chain with the spare key to it....somewhere.
ETA:
Wait...this listing is from where the guy was selling it, not you selling it, right?

Note to self - when death occurs, depend on yourself to find shite out and don't depend on others.

Yea we have some cool photos of him racing it. We don't have a sentimental attachment to it at all so we'll probably dump it. Mechanic guy said it would need 50K in work to get it to run/look nice. It does run currently but still needs some work apparently.

Correct. It's the seller, not us.

That dude is full of shite. I have a 61 MGA im slowly restoring, and it's in way worse condition than that. I've had several shops quote it around 30K to be fully restored. There isn't much to those old cars and parts are relatively cheap.

Ummm...

Well, anyway- I'm glad it all worked out, Brother.

And trust me...it gets easier. Been 5 years now and I only get weepy every 6 mos. Or so.

I know you're asking $29,850, but would you be willing to reconsider for an offer of $350 that's in all pennies? They're collectable pennies.

What happened to the whole part of it being at a tenants house and recently towed away?
