Glad to hear, brother. You seem to be taking good paths, in caring for yourself and children. I did the apartment thing while building. The time flies by. You will look back on it as a minor percentage of your time on this big rock we call home.

Keep walking that walk.

I know it’s gonna sound like I’m a dick, but you have to get over it!! Not only for your kids, but for yourself.

I understand how hard the realization of not only your best, most trusted, loyal. and supportive person in your life being ripped away from you can be.

You have to be there, and be strong for your kids, but as hard as it it is you have to let her go.! Been there done that.....

They are watching how you handle this, and how you manage this. Unfortunately,!being a father to them is what ultimately has to come first.

Deflect, change the subject, and divert as much as you can, until you get your own head right.

It’s hard... something you, and your kids will never forget, but y’all can all over come it if you want too.

You have to stop living in the past.you cannot undo what’s done.Do what o did. Thought about my kids. What was best for them, and focused on them.

Please keep sharing your story. I’ll admit that I’ve been struggling a little recently with my faith but reading how the Lord has been working in your life comforts me and encourages me.

You and your family will be in the prayers of this man in Mississippi tonight.

I have been following your story and am happy to hear that you are starting to heal. That feeling I'm sure will never go away, but at least you are finding your peace with it. Please continue to keep us updated on how you are doing.

Hoova, glad to hear things are getting better, man. Keep your head up and keep powering forward. I hope you find peace in your new home once it's finished, and I'm glad church has helped you find some comfort as well. That's great.

Just wanted to give a little update. It’s been over 2 weeks since we have moved from the house and moved into the apartment. I can’t wait until our new home is finished being built because apartment life isn’t for me. The kids have definitely enjoyed the pool though. Today I went to mass for the first time in over 25 years. It felt amazing to be there it’s hard to put into words how I felt. There were numerous times I had to hold back my emotions. It’s amazing how God works. Literally the first verse in the mornings first reading was Psalm 68:5 “A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation”. After mass was over my friend introduced me to the priest and we talked about what happened. He asked if it was ok for him to pray for my wife and myself. I said of course and I closed my eyes and he put his hand on me and we prayed. The tears starting rolling down my face and I had an amazing sense of peace and I knew at that moment that my wife is in heaven and I know that everything is going to be ok.

really great to hear man. This type of post should bring everyone of the OT together

Stay strong my friend, those little girls need you. I am thrilled to hear you're doing just that. One day at a time, look forward.
