Update On Dave Chappelle Taking Heat From The LGBTO Community: "Its No Skin Off My Nose"

Dave Chappelle couldn't care less what anyone thinks about his controversial LGBTQ comments in his Netflix stand-up special ... Dude's all smiles.
The comedian hit up Peppermint Club in Hollywood Wednesday night where he performed ... and a throng of paps got him and his entourage on their way out. Dave's chill despite feeling the heat following his latest stand-up special, "The Closer."
quote:
The photogs are peppering him with questions about the blowback over his comments about the LGBTQ community, but he doesn't answer. He does, however, offer a parting shot as he drives away ... "Dumb-arse questions."
Dave came under fire after, among other things, joking the gay community cared more about torpedoing DaBaby's career for his homophobic rant than the fact he shot and killed someone at a Walmart. BTW ... DaBaby allegedly fired in self-defense and was never charged.
He kicked it off with, "In our country, you can shoot and kill a n****, but you better not hurt a gay person's feelings. And this is precisely the disparity that I wish to discuss."
quote:
Dave also said "Gender is a fact" because "every human being in this room, every human being on earth, had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on Earth."
The comments, of course, set off a wave of controversy. Dave, however, seems unbothered. And, it shows.
TMZ
I haven't watched the special yet, I plan on doing so soon, but I saw the video of him telling the joke about how you can get away with shooting a nword in walmart, but you better not hurt a gay person's feelings.
But what gets me is that after he did his set in the video shown in this link, the paparazzi that was surrounding him just to ask him about his relationship with the LGBTO community.. And he just had this big smile on his face the whole time, didn't say a word, got in the vehicle and they drove off.

Good. He’s a comedian. People need to stop taking shite so seriously and just laugh a little.

We must protect him at all costs

Because it results in views, which results in more money for him now and down the road. There is just such a dearth of good comedy that the few comedians who don't mind pissing people off are just going to rake in fame.

Trump wins in 2024. Nominates Chappelle to replace Clarence Thomas on SCOTUS.

It's funny that the same people he mentions as being able to be murdered are ALSO not allowed to have hurt feelings.

Shouldn’t people be attacking Netflix for giving such vile hate speech a platform?

Honestly, that's the strange thing with comedy. There comedians out there who used to be really good, but because they work for or associated with certain networks they have to become a shell of themselves.
On one hand I can't blame them for following the money, but on the other hand it seems like if you are truly a good comedian you can have more long term success on your own. Comedians like Bill Burr and Theo Von come to mind.
If Bill Burr would.. I don't know.. Be associated with Comedy Central, he wouldn't be able to go all in on the jokes he tells about women.
Theo Von just has a different style that I don't think would work in mainstream, but he doesn't need to appeal to mainstream.
Eddie Murphy is a good example of selling out for other opportunities. He said he wanted to change his style because he didn't want his kids to see him being the comedian he was when he first started and to see the difference all you have to do is watch the first Coming to America and compare it to the second one that came out last year.
I don't think they even said one cuss word in the second one. Im not saying you have to cuss to be funny, but not limiting himself made Eddie really funny. If he would have remained a comedian without limiting himself, I think he would still be hands down the best comedian out there. Its a shame he isn't because he has so much talent.. His impressions, his delivery.. He was able to make everything he said funny.

While we don't share many beliefs, Dave Chappelle is the greatest comedian of our era. Maybe any era.
Society needs that.

You cannot cancel the uncancellable.

Chappelle leans heavily left. So im guessing that

You vote for politicians that would endorse cancelling Chappelle

We definitely need more black celebrities to start calling out the hypocrisy and stupidity. While still getting attacked, they can say things that others cant. Like the two NBA stars that are questioning the vaccine... We need more people of color to stand up to stupidity.

Eventually you realize the outrage game is played by the big money political activists and if anything points back at them it won't get funded. Soros is a big player in Netflix and there's a lot of big money leftists involved, so they won't fan the flames.

His special is #4 on the Netflix “Top in the Country” list. Good for him.
Save our country Dave!

The joke he told a couple of years ago with all of the letters in the car makes me think the L, G, B likes him more than the T and Qs.
I take that back, the Ls probably don’t because they don’t like anyone.
