Yep. My boat has conduit running from the bow to the stern with wiring and pull wires in it. With all the new electronics we run and the bigger current drawing devices, its not only gotten more but larger. My rig has #4 wire for my trolling motor. Its a 36V system and I think it still needs bigger wire.

A lot of guys are running multiple graphs on the console and up front which draws more and needs more resources.

In 1997, I purchased one of the very first Triton bass boas ever made. Mine was serial #5. I drove out at Perry Georgia with tax included for 24K. That same boat today similarly equipped is 75K. Yes it has a better trolling motor and outboard and electronics but the basic boat and equipment is the same.

Its really insane how the price has gone up. I bought 6 Tritons since and won 3 more. They have steadily increased in price since then. There are some bass boats now fully equipped that are being advertised for 100K. That is crazy

Any update on this guy? I hate to see this becuase most fishermen are pretty responsible with their rigs.

The article I read said both anglers agreed to run to the southern part of the lake where no one else was fishing bc of the weather conditions. That is a bad decision considering they were dealing with 15-20 mph north winds on a shallow lake. FLW should've probably cancelled the tournament day to begin with. BASS has cancelled tournament days for much less.

Yes, that is not a good decision. Frankly, on a big open lake a bass boat at speed is not the most stable platform.

Last year a couple guys crossed Maurepas for our work tournament after being advised the weather would deteriorate. The wind picked up pretty good during the day and they couldn’t get back. Someone had to go pick them up in Ruddock and bring them back to their truck.

This is not. Wave height typically peaks at about 3/4 of the depth of the water before it starts "breaking".

I never knew you could see the mud bottom in the troughs of the waves until I got caught on Verret during a storm like you just mentioned. It was amazing. Easily 4 foot waves in 6 feet of water.
