I expect them to keep doing what they've done. Keep their mouths shut.

Unless the police know anything they can only get in trouble by talking and incriminating themselves.

There’s a typo in my quote. Should have been “aren’t”.

"If" they knew do you think they'll share that info with the police?

No, of course not, unless the police find something - but I think they’ve been careful enough

Well BL was wanted on felony bank fraud warrant so that’s the only investigation they could have obstructed with

Unless they knew he killed Gabby and helped him cover it up and didn’t report what they knew to the police, or helped him evade capture

At the end of the day I don’t think it ends well for BL’s parents

Called her dead on the 27th or 28th and that he would mentally and/or physically implode over a month ago.

Relatively normal people cannot just kill people without mental consequences.

yep. Read Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky. This guy is going off the rails.

quote:
Crime and Punishmentby the Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky focuses on the mental anguish and moral dilemmas of Rodion Raskolnikov, an impoverished ex-student in Saint Petersburg who formulates a plan to kill an unscrupulous pawnbroker for her money. Before the killing, Raskolnikov believes that with the money he could liberate himself from poverty and go on to perform great deeds. However, once it is done he finds himself racked with confusion, paranoia, and disgust for his actions. His justifications disintegrate completely as he struggles with guilt and horror and confronts the real-world consequences of his deed.

I think it’s a nothing burger criminally and the state/feds just walk away.

However, I think they get smoked on the civil case. Not that anyone will ever get paid besides some lawyers, but I think a jury makes a big award for some fringe legal bs.

Based on what? Assuming he is dead, he was only charged with bank fraud. It isn't illegal if you refuse to know where an adult is (his parents crime?). People forget Gabby and Brian were grown adult hobos. It was probably common for them to disappear for months at a time. Appreantly fighting was common.

The fact that it will take them 2 second to find a lawyer willing to take the case, and the fact that the public, aka jury, is generally retarded as evidenced by this thread. I don’t agree with it, but it’s a likely outcome.

Lawyer will go after the Moab Utah police. There is really no case against the parents unless they knew it was going to happen.

Especially if they did not follow procedure in investigating the domestic issue. .

This is not a good look for the FBI. Guy was in the first place they looked the whole time. Did no one think "hey, he may be dead, let's roll through with the dogs?" Or shite, he didn't even have to be dead for dogs to track/find him.

Can’t rack up much overtime if you find him right away.

The remains were found in an area recently under water.
