This is what every person begging to see the parents charged with something always fails to understand.
Yeah, I don't understand the continuous drumbeat of the nerds here that the parents are guilty of something. all based on gut feeling and no real evidence.

Did they? This body was found where they told the authorities to look. It was just under water.
This is what I find interesting. They told LE where to look, but it was underwater at the time. Why didn't LE go back there once the water receded before reopening the park yesterday? It's the first place the Laundries wanted to go to when the park was reopened and they were free to enter. It looked pretty dry in the aerial videos. I didn't see anyone wondering around in mud.

They impeded an investigation, so hell yeah they have done something illegal.
You have no way at all of knowing that. Not publicly speaking is not illegal. Refusing to speak to investigators without a lawyer is not illegal. Hell, refusing to speak with investigators period is not illegal. If that were the case, 95% of the ghetto would be locked up right now.
You're simply wrong.

We don't know if we're missing any evidence, but people want someone to blame if they can't get to the BL.

Who sues them, and for what?
Exactly.
If people can sue the parents of grown children for their child's transgressions, legal or otherwise, we have a big problem.

Because i think many people think that the parents probably asked him some questions when he returned solo - for the second (?) time

His parents were nowhere around when Gabby died. They were at home minding their own business.
Anyone can "sue", but collecting it a different ballgame.

But they didn’t refuse to speak with investigators.

Brian Laundrie's parents had told investigators that they last saw their son on Sept. 14, when he told them he was going hiking in the Carlton Reserve. Now they're saying he may have left a day earlier, according to the family's attorney

Even if they did, how do you know he answered or what he said IF he answered?

You’re all over the place. You said they committed a crime. What crime do you think they committed and what did they do that makes you say that?
I think they knew roughly where he was and protected him from the police and Feds if he had any chance of getting away. Honestly I’d rather die if I murdered a girl than go to prison. I just see this as complicated.

By most all reports they have only spoken with investigators regarding Brian's missing persons case. They have not spoken (as far as the general public is aware) to them about Gabby's homicide/murder.

If the remains are him, so did the police and FBI. You know how they knew that? His parents told them.
You'd have a valid point if they didn't find his remains in the same Reserve the parents said he had gone to.

I don’t - but the way the media has portrayed them has not helped their image either
However, this is why people are assuming they know something

So did an alligator, a cottonmouth, or an angry father kill him?

They reported him missing before a warrant was issued for using the credit card and when they reported him missing, they told LE he went to the reserve to hike. Assuming the remains are his, that's exactly where he went and where he died. The FBI said today that the area in which his belongings were found along with human remains was underwater previously.
When BL left to go for the hike, he was free to go wherever he wanted. There were no warrants. How could the parents have been protecting him from LE?

If it was an angry father, he had to be slick. That reserve has been closed to the public since the search for Brian started. It may have recently reopened, but by the sound of it he had been dead a while.

It reopened yesterday.

‘If’ they knew he had killed Petito - then it can be aiding and abetting a criminal

I hope it was a cottonmouth and he died a slow and painful death.

He's dead and the parents are going to tell what they did or didn't know in all likelihood,
I expect them to keep doing what they've done. Keep their mouths shut.
Unless the police know anything they can only get in trouble by talking and incriminating themselves.
