This was my thought as well.
I think I have numbers for three of my wife’s friends. All three have kids that are friends with my kids and the only communication has been related to the kids.

Going with something along these lines. Still a dumb move.
Either that or his wife got a hold of his phone, actually sent, and like another poster said, is trying to find the cheater. Women are crazy.

To my defense, and this is definitely not an excuse, I’m farsighted, and my eyesight has gotten worse over the years. And now that I am in my 50s, I’m apparently at the point where I probably shouldn’t be using my phone, much less sending texts and attaching photos, without my glasses on.
Unfortunately, that’s undoubtedly what happened. I grabbed the wrong photo and sent it.
I have personally called each of the ladies involved, as well as their husbands, to apologize. I wanted to make sure I apologized to each of them directly and let them know it was an honest mistake. A couple of them were offended, and embarrassed and said this would change the dynamics of our friendship (even though they are more friends with my wife). One, though, who will remain nameless, asked if I was a coffee drinker.
