If you vote Democrat in this day and age YOU are the driver at fault in that video. You are the passengers in that vehicle as well. This is what you support. This is who you are.

Other people had to keep the uninsured fricktards from trying to get her out of the car.
They were trying to physically pull her out of her car?!
Too bad those other people weren't named Smith and Wesson.

The new thing is to pay in monthly installments, get a card showing insurance for six months, pay the first month, and stop paying.
After they buy a car and make only one payment on it

Dash cam should probably be required in Louisiana. Likely saved this driver a ton of lawsuits.

in LA if you don’t have insurance you can’t get paid by anyone even if not at fault.

This isn’t new, which is why the State of Texas has set up an insurance verification database.
LINK
Mandatory carrying proof is remnants of language from previous laws that have been, in effect, superseded by the database.

The radio went from soul music to country music after the hit.

There was woman that witness the wreck and stopped. The people from the other car were yelling at and beating on the windows of the teenage girl. It only last another minute after that dash cam stopped. Cops got there with a quickness.

Always carry UM, people. If your agent advises against it he’s looking out for the insurance company and not you and you need to find a new agent.
Why would you carry UM? If the other person doesn’t have insurance, wouldn’t your collision coverage cover your vehicle?

I would have avoided that crash 100 times out of 100.
That video is embarrassing on both sides.

Yep. We have been hit twice by uninsured motorists, and my insurance continues to go up.

Maybe in 1996. This is 2020, and there are instant databases. You really don’t even need to carry ID cards any longer. If your insurance lapses, the state is notified.

Then Louisiana cops don’t check ours (if we have one) because I’ve had that exact scenario happen multiple times to clients of mine

Time to invest in a dash cam.
I have a pair of ThinkWare dash cams, both setup with rearward facing cameras and the hardwire installation kit so they can run on surveillance mode when parked. They capture GPS and 3-axis accelerometer data and sync it to the video. I haven't been in an accident but witnessed a lady blow through a red light and T-bone a truck next to me as well as captured all kinds of idiocy. Could start a YouTube channel if I wanted.

This happened to my fiancee. She got backed into and they showed their insurance card to the cops and gave her the info and all. Turns out he didn't have current insurance, they wouldn't pay, and there was nothing she could do about it.

Small claims court at the very least.
