I was a witness to a crash last week and the trooper moved them out of the road to our parking lot.
Long story short the one was uninsured and I only wish I had recorded the moment the trooper told him his car was being impounded that that in LA if you don’t have insurance you can’t get paid by anyone even if not at fault. It was priceless.
Him and his ol lady kept saying “man that’s fricked up”

This. That was easily avoidable with just the slightest bit of situational awareness. When I’m driving, my head is on a swivel and I’m aware of everything around me, anticipating the move that other drivers are going to make (and assuming it will be the wrong one). 100% not her fault, but 100% avoidable as well.

The new thing is to pay in monthly installments, get a card showing insurance for six months, pay the first month, and stop paying.
You’ve got a valid card to show the cops but no active coverage for the other party.
Always carry UM, people. If your agent advises against it he’s looking out for the insurance company and not you and you need to find a new agent.

I wish they had the whole thing. That girl with the dash cam was in high school. Other people had to keep the uninsured fricktards from trying to get her out of the car.
That being said there are tons of wrecks at that intersection. I have no clue why though. It’s a neighborhood, a burger joint, an elementary school and an empty lot that make up the four corners.

Those people were complete morons. I really hate dealing with people who never take fault for anything.
That said, I have an uncomfortable question: why didn’t the kid slow down? She had ample time to recognize that the car was turning in front of her. It reflected poor defensive driving skills. That said, I know the accident wasn’t her fault, but it seemed preventable.

A few years back I had just left a restaurant and was in the turning lane to turn right. To my left I noticed a black Lexus in the left turning lane, but about 10 feet back from where it needed to be to make the turn left. As I'm waiting, the black Lexus slowly starts moving at an angle towards my drivers side door. At that point because the car was close enough I reached out the window and banged on her car to get the her attention (she was on the phone), and she immediately hit the gas and rammed my car.
It was at this point that all hell broke loose. Before I can even get the car shut off to get out, this crazy bitch is beating on my window and telling me not to call the cops. As I began dialing the police, she got even more irate, yelling at me to wait because her friend was on the way to say she was the one doing the driving. As I'm on the phone with the dispatcher, I'm simultaneously telling this lunatic to get the frick away from me and my car. A few seconds later I hear her on the phone with the police screaming and crying, telling the dispatcher that I drug her out of her car and beat her arse because I was angry she hit my car...Fast forward about a minute later and I see this caravan of law enforcement vehicles about 8 deep rolling our way.
Turns out the bitch had a warrant out for her arrest
It was at this point that all hell broke loose. Before I can even get the car shut off to get out, this crazy bitch is beating on my window and telling me not to call the cops.
