None of those quotes you created go this far, tbh. Asking why and asking not to ruin his life aren't specifically asking not to report. If we're going to get all lawyer-y about this.

Give me another scenario.

I asked you a question. Either you have an answer or you don't.

Did he PIIHB?

If not then it isn’t rape because no means yes, and yes means anal.

I just can't think of any scenario where, when presented with a rape accusation, where I would apologize and tell her to not report it

That's because you're assuming the apology was specifically for the rape and told her to not report it because he did rape her.

All I'm saying he could have apologized for her feeling a certain way (her state of mind) and not for raping her.

"I'm sorry for raping you." vs "I'm sorry you feel that way."

Do those read the same way to you?

It COULD be the former. It probably is. Or it could be something different.

It's all interpretation. What we're given in the article is what the arresting agency interpreted. We don't have a statement from the accused yet.

I just think it's funny how easily the OT goes after the girls in most cases (and often rightfully so) with not a soul to defend them, yet when a case like this pops up where everything points to actual rape, you have plenty of guys looking to question the girl and looking for scenarios where she's lying.

I think just an innocent person is more defensive, and not submissive when presented with such accusations

Article said he wouldn't talk to cops so I doubt we'd get one.

You just literally raped the victim too. LITERALLY.

Each scenario is unique with their own set of circumstances. I can't give an opinion on a hypothetical with such little detail.

Maybe go find a thread where your question would be relevant and let us see how I responded.

this thread has completely moved the goalposts from the relevance of the question "why didn't she leave" to "we don't have all the facts, we can't convict the guy yet"

Most likely. Or maybe he just felt like she held all the cards whether the accusations were true or not and hoped he could change her mind.

Holy shite, are you an idiot? I'm saying asking her that question is absolutely legitimate. Do you see how differing responses paint the situation in an entirely different light. Posters earlier in this thread rolled in on upgrayyed and others for merely positing the question.

And don't say he "confessed". None of us have seen what is statement was.

Sabi is being completely reasonable with his points

you were being purposely obtuse of the implication of the question "why didn't she leave?"

I never said anything about why didn't she leave, fwiw.
