A University of Louisiana Monroe student is facing one count of second degree rape in connection with an August incident.

According to an arrest report filed by the ULM Police Department for Samuel Hudgens, 18, Pollock, a complaint was filed with campus police around 3 p.m. Thursday.

The affidavit states a female student told officers she was raped by Hudgens, a person she knew since high school, while watching a movie in his dorm room.

She said Hudgens began kissing her, and she said there would be no sex. According to the report, the victim told officers he repeatedly attempted to remove her pants before raping her.

The victim reported she told the suspect to stop approximately 20 times.

The affidavit states the victim told her mother, father, sister and a college counselor about the incident within one to three weeks.

It states the arrest officer reviewed screen captures where the suspect discussed the reported rape, apologized and asked for the incident to not be reported.

The victim said she was coming forward because she suffers from bad dreams of the incident and its impact on her mental health.

Hudgens declined to give a statement prior to arrest.

He was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center on the second degree rape charge late Thursday. Bond has not been set.

My question (and I am not blaming her at all) is why didn't she get up and leave?

Sure sounds like you're blaming her . . . .

That’s a shite question to ask tbh. This sounds like he actually raped her. Especially if there are messages of him admitting to it.

So should every rape victim be asked that? Why didn’t she just walk away?

Logic has nothing to do with it. She’s known the guy for years. Says she was fine with getting physical but drew a line that she didn’t believe he would cross. There’s denial there especially with someone you’re familiar with.

Y’all are POS if y’all are blaming her for this one.

How do we know she didn't try to leave?

I'm just spitballing here but I would assume rape of a conscious human being usually entails one being able to overpower the other.

She reported it soon after the incident, told others in similarly short span. She seems to have really not wanted to have sex with the guy. I don't see the problem here, and:

You don't apologize for shite you didn't do.

This. And why would you think some POS willing to rape would just let her walk out the door?

OT lawyers, isn’t it pretty hard to win a rape case if you’re the plaintiff?

Because there's no such thing as pre-sex regret.

So I guess you don't think rape exists?

This is my biggest gripe when it comes to rape allegations. No one is allowed to question the woman and if you do you're "blaming her". It's the most intellectually lazy shite on Earth.
