all honesty Community just isn’t all that great to me!
I hate they will be moving OOS but you cant blame them. Imagine the bullshite they put up with being such a large enterprise in this backwards State.
I have been dealing with a small State issue here for about 4 months. It should have taken 1 phone call or email. I may have it fixed this week after about 20 hours of work on it.

Didn’t BR lose Canes HQ too?
Cane's HQ is still in the IBM building in Baton Rouge.
Walk On's and Amedysis are still in BR too.
But they all have at least some operations in other states. Those are jobs that could be here in La.
I believe Canes has less than a dozen people working downtown, and are spending nearly 6 figures a month in rent. I would suspect that arrangement won't exist much longer.
Walk Ons seems to be signaling a move to Atlanta at some point. With a much better airport to get to their other markets, that also makes a lot of sense.
Anyone remember Albemarle? All those execs are living the good life in South Charlotte now.

There is hardly anyone working in the IBM building downtown.

They should save some money and use the same office Canes uses

Texas, Florida, and Tennessee are exploding with business. Even (to a lesser degree) Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas are attracting business...while Louisiana continues to trend downwards because of our absolutely abhorrent business climate.
It's not a case of a national business simply moving around chasing the state with the best incentives at the time, then quickly leaving once they go away (or don't increase). It's a homegrown company and one the biggest in the city saying even we have had enough with our home.
Few in Louisiana appreciate just how badly Louisiana is falling behind the rest of the South. The state is a complete outlier when it comes to business climate and the economy. The main cause can be found on the 4th floor of the state capitol building.

I think they've been getting sneaky. Replaced coffee and chicory with "New Orleans Blend" to fool people. Hiding in the label that it doesn't have chicory. And the real chicory and coffee is off the shelves, here at least.
Why would they do that? Chicory is cheaper than coffee and tastes much worse.

Frisco is so much nicer than anything LA has to offer.

While I will NEVER underestimate the ability of "conservative" voters in this red state to frick up what should be a "Sure thing" (see a 2 terms Democrat Gov. in an otherwise deep red state), presumably LA will have a Republican Governor starting in 2024 to go along with a majority (close to super majority) Republican legislature. Thus, if the Democrat Gov is the main cause, that problem will be removed and the Republicans should have their dream scenario to implement whatever laws/regulations they have always dreamed of to get the state "turned around". Of course, perhaps it is just built in pessimism, I won't hold my breath expecting the LA GOP to do anything close to that.
The rest of the south will continue to grow...while LA will continue to be reduced to just the petrochemical industry. An industry that is constantly under attack by national politicians.

FFS whoever wins the election, don't anyone tell them that they should run for president. That ruined Jindal.

Jindal had his eyes on the presidency before he ran for governor, he considered being Louisiana governor a stepping stone to the presidency

Officially? Maybe for now. But prepare your anus. No LA company “expands” into Dallas. They quietly move there. You probably still think the Canes home office is still really in BR, don’t you?

Coffee is like wine in this respect: it used to be that only a few brands were good, and now almost every brand is good.

great idea. problem is….
the number of takers in Louisiana is always on the rise, while the number of providers is always shrinking

If the New Orleans Blend doesn't have chickory in it then what is so New Orleans about it?
