Too bad the MAGA King didnt obliterate the fentanyl factories in Mexico with Patriot missiles. It wouldve been worth every ounce of shite he took for doing it

I don't see the point of the cartels mixing fentanyl with other drugs. If your trying to cut the original drug with a filler, why not use something that won't kill your customers? Are they trying to walk the line to get people hooked and over-do the mixture?
I know they don't morally care, but each person you kill is less profit.

My best guess is this is a cross contamination problem. Supplier up the chain processes some heroin with some fent added(which does make some sense), and the next day processes some cocaine on the same surface and there is just enough fent left on that surface to get into the cocaine. The adderall in this story doesn’t fit into this theory though.

I would bet putting some fent in allows you to cut even more and still keep some type of kick that you don't get with lax. Its cheap and it seems like they are putting it in everything.

The fent factories are in China. Cartels buy it from China and cut drugs with it because supposedly it is dirt cheap and their profit increases significantly.

I don't think they're actually cutting it with fentanyl, they're trying to give it more kick so people think they're getting really good stuff. The problem lies in the mixing process. Sometimes people don't know what they're doing and a little clumps together in the mixing process. A TINY bit can kill you, for sure.

Does China actually make the fent? Don't the cartels buy the precursors and then make the fent in Mexico - then smuggle it across the border? Then it get cut into other drugs in an attempt to make them more addictive? This is just something I think I read at some point.

That is correct when dealing with opiates. Wanting to make cheaper amphetamines so you use fentanyl as a filler makes zero sense. It still costs more than plenty of non narcotic fillers that people making pressed pills use especially when you factor in having to acquire it.
