Flock cameras aren’t “mass surveillance,” they’re automated license-plate readers that capture brief moments in time, not continuous tracking of citizens, and they don’t record people or behavior. Nobody is sitting around watching Red Eagle or Roy Curado's movements because (I hate to hurt your little feelings here) nobody cares about us. Flock requires explicit searches, every query is logged and audited, data automatically deletes after a short retention period, and agencies don’t have the staff or authority to monitor random individuals

That deflock map shows a flock camera on some land I own along hwy 61. But, I went and walked the property the other day and didn't see one. Wonder if the local sheriff got heat for it. It was the only flock camera showing in our parish according to the map.
I think I'd get in trouble for fiddling with it since it would be in the servitude area of the property.

Flock cameras were used to track and apprehend the Brown shooter. Someone reported a suspicious car, turned out to be a rental. Tracked the car.
Well, shooter ditched the car.
No problem, Flock tracked the shooter through their AI tools based on "physical descriptors"

It's the data points that track. It's one thing for a ring camera to film someone going by. It's another thing for it to collect every piece of data that you pay for and continually track it forever.
