Now HERE’S a TulaneLSU post I will gladly upvote. Bucc-ees is fricking dumb and I don’t understand why everyone likes it so much.

This is some of your best work yet. Right up there with your list of top 10 sets of stairs in Auburn.

I am also not a fan of the overrated Bucees

Friend,

I also was at this Baldwin Buc-ees as early as last Friday night. I can confirm that it is the mecca of 23/20. There was an actual convoy of approximately 30 to 50 trucks with varying angles and loudness of exhaust leaving the establishment in sync as we navigated the perils of the parking lot. It was traumatizing and I had to stop and pray to Burt Reynolds for his guidance. In the end I made it out with some pickled quail eggs, gas, and a new found appreciation of life.

Stay strong friend.

Buc-ee’s is perhaps the most depressing, most hopeless, least edifying construct of the last century. Rather would I spend my days doing the duties of a mudlark or Groom of the Stool than enter Buc-ee’s again. If one could capture all that is bad about America and put it in a snowglobe, that snowglobe would have a Buc-ee’s in it. It is a destroyer of culture and dreams,a soul murderer, an inversion of the Garden. When future civilizations look back at the beginning of the end for the United States, they will point not to pandemic, not to racial strife, not to the decline of Protestantism, not to economic collapse. The sage ones will see the spread of Buc-ee’s throughout this land as the tipping point at which America went from civilization to chaos.

This is a sad day for me. Not just because it is near the anniversary of the month that my mom passed away a few years back - but because two things I enjoy are now in a clash.

I have passion for very few things. I am not a hobbyist. I am not a smoker, gambler, and rarely drink.

But I do love the simple things in life. Like Elvis, KSGamecock, Buc-ee’s, King Kong, Pioneerbasketball, Talladega Nights, and even TulaneLSU.

But today, this incomplete list must have surgery. I must remove one of my passions because he declared war on the other.

The friendly little beaver did nothing to provoke this aggression. He just smiled and provided you clean facilities and snacks to fill up on your journey. He even offered you a hug from his stature as you left the building. You refused it.

Not only that, you chose to attack.

Because of this action, I can no longer support your wonderful lists. Believe me when I say that it hurts me more than you.

Goodbye TulaneLSU. I will change my signature in 24 hours.

One of you more entertaining posts, thanks.

And I don’t care what the other beaver bootlickers say, goods promoting America that are made in China are plenty reason all by itself to condemn this establishment to the dust bin of history...

With all due respect to the OP, who I actually do respect, As we are cruising down the interstate no one holds a gun to our head and forces us to turn the blinker on on exit. But, like a drug, the compulsion is stronger than our will and we abide.

From TulaneLSU’s post on AWO:

“This theme park has all the optimism of a landless Easterner pitching his tent and toting his plow in Cimarron County, Oklahoma, circa 1925. Unfettered optimism and greed often end with broken dreams and a bowl full of dust.”

We are all witnesses.

I generally enjoy your lists. this makes you sound as pretentious and stuck up. FTR My kids begged me to stop at this very same location Thursday afternoon. Everyone, customers and employees were as nice as could be.

Mr Buc-ee has successfully promoted himself as a “gastination”. Good for him.

I have neither seen, hear of or been to a Buc-ee’s. Color me fortunate. Just appreciate my sheltered life more. Sail on TL.

Well, I feel like I need to go now. They are building a new one beside Bass Pro Shops in Leeds, AL right down the interstate from me. Can’t wait to go.

We stopped at the one in robertsdale on the way back from the beach. It was crowded as hell. Food was decent though.

You can’t bash Bucees like this and love to write about it. I will find you...and I will meet you at Sonic...

The pretentiousness of TulaneLSU knows no bounds.

How old were you when your parents gave you control of your trust fund?
