Nash not being #1 makes this top ten bogus.

Bob Breck's viper model said Katrina was never going to make it in the gulf.
This is the truth
We were watching the various weather folks in the area from Friday through sunday and Breck was the one person who was way out of line as he kept pushing his new Viper Model. This was his big moment and flat out blew it. They had spend a lot of money on the Viper program so they had to stick to it’s prediction and except for the final models it was flat wrong.
Breck took a big hit for the blown prediction but he stuck with it and managed to end his career on a high note as he revealed that he was bald

This list is mostly spot on, but half dogshit.

Margaret Orr has been on the air in this market for over 40 years.
This list is totally bogus without Margaret Orr making the top ten. TulaneLSU needs to seriously reconsider adding her to the list. Nash and Breck 1 and 2 is a matter of taste but Orr not making the list is purely for the troll.

Does anyone remember probably 30 years ago when bob had a hissy fit on air because Nash predicted A hurricane to turn away from the city when the national forecast still had it coming to N.O.
bob was about to cry on air. Said Nash was irresponsible to deviate from the national forecast. Insisted that he was not some little kid and was a full grown weather man who should be taken seriously. He was very emotional.
Needless to say, the hurricane turned just as Nash predicted.
I think this was hurricane George in 1998. Bob Breck and Margaret Orr lost it. Orr was crying and Breck was screaming leave or die / they predicted a direct hit on New Orleans.
Nash sniffed his marker, predicted a turn to the East and was correct.
This alone makes Nash #1 on any credible list.

Friend,
It’s clear your personal bias for Bob has impacted your thinking. I can appreciate the impact of meeting a celebrity.
But Nash is number 1. It’s not close.
Your list is missing three names:
David Bernard (remember he originally had a stint at WWL before he went to Miami)
Brad Panovich
John Gumm (I think he would be 10 or maybe honorable mention)
Katz and Lowry don’t belong. Auction and Gumm would be a toss up between 10/11.
Orr is correctly left off the list. Her puppies are her only redeeming quality, and Dawn Brown has better ones.
Don Westbrook is a treasure but he’s not a meteorologist, he was just a weather reader. He was also the station announcer. Very good at his craft, but ineligible for this list.

Friend,
While I always appreciate the time and effort you put into your lists, I find it reprehensible and nearly unforgivable that Margret Orr is not featured on your list. Margaret’s auburn hair and typically matching attire have been a staple on the TV for years. I hope you can find it in your heart to do better and I, to forgive you for this travesty.
Yours,
sweetwaterbilly

I have shared my Bob Breck colonoscopy story but I will share it again.
It is considered customary in my ancestral homeland to have a favorite video on hand to share after dinner and cocktails. The canonical example had always been my uncle's recording of the Connie Chung rest area gay hookup segment, which was inevitably followed up by the playing of phone calls he'd recorded where Mandeville luminaries agreed to meet him at the I-12 rest area for fellatio.
When I bought my own home as a young adult, I knew I had to find such a video.
I searched long and hard for this totem, in a sort of latter-day "vision quest." When Bob Breck announced that he would be airing footage from his own colonoscopy on the 6:00 news, I cried out to our god-ancestors in gratitude. My quest was complete.
The broadcast was better than I'd dared to dream. Breck in scrubs; Breck sedated and weary-eyed; high-res real-time images of the Breck rectum and colon; Breck expanding upon the homophobia of colonoscopy-avoidance. It was a triumph!
The footage recorded on a VHS tape duly labeled "BOB BRECK COLONOSCOPY," I sent out invitations. On the appointed night, my guests as lubricated by tequila as Breck had been by Astroglide, I pulled the hallowed cassette down from the top shelf of my bookshelf.
Alas, though, the recording was only static. I'd neglected some aspect of the VCR operation process, leaving my guests unentertained and myself humiliated. It was, to say the least, a faux pas.

Dan Milham should be no where in anyone’s top 10. He mailed in too many shows.
Bob Breck is top notch at number one.
Carl Arrendondo: very polished without a degree in meteorology.
Bruce Katz : very professional and was a wonderful neighbor to my parents befor coming to New Orleans.

USM...that is funny.
I went to grammar school and high school with Bob’s oldest son, Robbie. Knew the family very well. Bob loves to come play basketball with us when we were very young. He was limited because that dude was short. And bald as they come.
On a few occasions Bob brought us to the news station and let us in the actual studio. After he was finished, he showed us how the green screen works. At that young age, it was amazing.
While I have not seen him since Mrs. Paula passed, I do remember having some great times with that family.

Friend,
It is reasonable to have Nash at #1, but it would be dishonest of me to put him in that position. Bob Breck was a role model in my early life in a way Nash was not. And apparently, he live-casted his colonoscopy. That's legendary. If I was fifteen years older, the story might be different. I make no apologies for excluding Orr.
I would really appreciate seeing your Top 10.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Obviously viewers of Big Brother aren’t coming to the OT. If they were, Chris Franklin wouldn’t be on your list. This past Wednesday he took up the entire BB hour talking about tornadoes, hurricanes, & educating viewers on how Doppler radar works. Dude received death threats, even got pissed on the air. It was classic.

Bob Breck? You have sunk to a new low. Everyone knows Nash was and will always be the best, ever. You are an Ignatius charlatan.
