Do you hand out traditional candy bars or just scoop Tres Leches, plantains and flan straight into their bags?

One of my kids has an actual peanut allergy. We don't expect anyone to cater to us. He knows what he can and can't have. Sometimes that means he has to miss out at school parties or a few other situations, but he's fine with it and I think it's helping him build character.

My kids cry every year when I won't let them participate in halloween. Im not gonna risk my kids going to hell by celebrating the devil. They'll be better christians for it when they get older

I don't mind it. Growing up, my Mom worked at the elementary school at the back of our neighborhood so she knew who had allergies and who didn't. So she'd buy a box of MLB or NBA cards for the boys and those sticker earrings/tiny nail polish bottles for the girls. She knew that didn't expect, but those parents dealing with kids who have legitimate allergies like that have enough shite to worry about.

I’m not actually a heartless bastard. It sucks that some kids have bad allergies. And if you asked if I had anything without peanuts i’d Probably find something for a kid.
But these overbearing mom’s (think Kibbles and Helmut) Who think they can guilt everyone in the catering to their delusions are what makes me reticent.

I know you're not. We wouldn't ask for you to fish through all your stuff. If he can't have it, he can't have it. There are enough sweet tarts and starburst, etc. for him to get. Just the fact that you're giving out anything needs to be appreciated.

Part of the thrill of going door to door was the extremeky remote possibility that a nice looking lady would greet us at the door wearing only a towel or lingerie.

Oh, I'm not implying. I'm wondering...why does LL use a gender neutral noun in describing the person who has enough pull to get her to store specific sized candy bars in her fridge? Would you say you prefer tacos or, what's the word I'm looking for.....dudes?

That sucks for your little one. My oldest's best friend has peanut allergies (like can't be anywhere near it..including our house) so my son sits at the peanut free table and makes sure he doesn't pack anything for lunch with peanut butter so he can eat with his buddies.
Where we live, it's so common that there's no stigma involved. Everybody knows no PB or the like at birthday parties, etc. No big deal.

I mean when did peanut allergies Start being this serious?
What if my kid likes peanut butter cake? Or just something with peanuts in it? Can’t your kid just not eat it?
I don’t think anyone is going to intentionally blow peanut dust up his nose or something

If I ever get pregnant I’m gonna eat peanut butter every damn day to help prevent peanut allergies in my baby.
