He's a nice guy, from what I can tell in limited interaction with him a lifetime ago.

Good for him.

In deep conversations with Trump, Hollis likes to give his two cents.

That will be one of his first assignments

Assuming he receives Senate confirmation, Hollis said he is most excited about helping the U.S. government celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence next year, which will come with a new batch of coins.

He will also assist with the phasing out of the penny. The Mint is expected to stop producing one-cent coins in early 2026.

Very thankful they don't have some liberal designing the 250th Anniversary coins.

Anyone know him? If so, tell him to stop the state quarters and go back to the old style. No need to make the state quarters, waste of money.

He putting coins in his brain with that fivehead?

Jk, happy for this man. I pay no fault to things you can't control, such as his sixhead. There's no heads or tails debate with that thing.

Struck me that it's proof Hollis circulated in the right circles.

Lifelong dream to run a country’s coin manufacturing process?

Becoming a cowboy, police officer, Army General or bowling alley snack shop manager taking a back seat to coins?

World is f’ed.

Hollis said his favorite coin is the one that launched his interest in numismatics as a child. When he was seven, his grandmother gave him a $2.50 Indian Gold coin made in New Orleans during the Great Depression.

So now there is a dominant LSU presence in all things related to US currency, since Brandon Beach (LSU undergrad degree) was named US Treasurer in March 2025.
