Just trying to get an overall perspective on the opinions of Louisianians towards the virus, and if and how that's changed over the course of the past month.

Do you think your fellow Louisianian is taking the virus seriously or not?

didn't want to get too specific, but I'd say, "observing social distancing measures" and "understands the implications of the virus with regard to human life and economy", but I'll let you put your own thought on it.

Well...it involves science, so that automatically means 45-55% of Louisianians don't believe it exists.

I think it finally got people's attention when businesses started closing and people started losing their jobs/furloughed

Don't get me wrong though, there are still some people in LA as well as on this board that believe they're immune to it

i don't think the "average" LA resident can comprehend how to truly understand the situation

the vast majority of the state isn't in any real danger right now, either, and we would have been in much less danger had JBE acted properly in early March when he new Nola/JP were a problem area

I'm personally taking it too serious IMO but to each his own. I still haven't met a single person that hasn't been diagnosed with it.

If my group is any indication our wives are and we are not.

We have to sneak away during the day when they think we are at work just to drink together

If you mean trying to follow government directives, I’d say it’s about 50/50.

F. Most of the people I work with (we be essential) are still seeing in-laws, going to church etc.

Makes my skin crawl a little.

If by serious you mean I am not going to visit my 95 year old grandma except to drop off groceries so she doesn't have to get out, then yes.

If by serious you mean sitting at my window screaming at the kids that are out riding their bike in the neighborhood and posting passive aggressive notes on facebook about everyone needing to stay INSIDE their house, then no.

I know a guy that built a bar in his shop behind his house and has opened it for business in the last couple days...so I’d say false.
