Nah, I'm not really saying that at all.

I think he feared the backlash and uncertainty of similar explosions elsewhere and failing to lock those placces down concurrently.

That only just made people who didn’t “buy” into it more angry. Doubt it changed many people’s opinions of the seriousness of it.

it likely becomes irrelevant b/c the strategy involved is going to take months and people aren't going to watch society collapse in that timeframe. this strategy also requires 100% adherence or it fails

In my very limited time interacting with other people recently I would say they are practicing social distancing, self quarantine, etc. so I would assume most people are “taking it seriously”

New Orleans is extremely quiet and other than people exercising or sitting on their porch, there is little to no activity anywhere. So people here are taking it seriously and have been doing so for a couple of weeks now.
