State District Judge Trudy White returned Monday to the 19th Judicial District Court bench following an unexplained, paid three-month hiatus.
"Good morning everyone. I'm Trudy M. White, and I'm back. It's so good to be back," she said Monday morning after entering her sixth-floor courtroom at the 19th Judicial District Courthouse.
White, who has not said publicly why she was off from Nov. 14 through Sunday, offered no explanation for her absence when she took the bench Monday.

Same reason cops get paid vacations for killing unarmed black people.

Between it being 90 days, the Paid Status (EEO rules) and the previously offered "personal reasons" I am going to jump out on a limb and guess it was in-patient substance abuse treatment. Nothing else even makes a remote bit of sense. The thing about that is that it is only going to take one defense attorney who had a recent conviction in her court to file a Motion and it will come out. If she had issues and was ruling from the Bench during that period it will be a big stink.*

Trudy White encountered Aramis Jackson when he was charged with illegal possession of a firearm on the LSU campus while on probation. Instead of putting him in jail, she ordered that Jackson "do good deeds".
Shortly after that....Jackson decided to break into a home in Beauregard Town in Baton Rouge (a few blocks from BRPD HQ) in the middle of the night. He shot the female homeowner and her 9 year old daughter for a flat screen television.
