Then you drive off the lot, total your truck, and get a check for $40k from insurance while still on the hook for that $70k note.
...and if you paid 70k cash you'd be in a better position?
These arguments always get jumbled. The question should be whether or not someone can actually afford the vehicle. When it comes to actual financing it can't be argued that 0% is a bad thing.

Really wish Ford was offering this...

I need a Mad Max vehicle for the post apocalyptic world. But GMs will be as crappy in the dystopian future as they are now.

0% interest is good. I'd do it for 10 years if they allowed it

Swing and a miss. 7 years no interest is awesome. Pay it off early, or not, it’s a great deal.

I honestly don't believe there is any such thing as a reliable vehicle anymore. Lexus/Toyota is a piece of plastic now. Leases are the future, nothing is engineered to last beyond six years without problems.

I went to the GMC dealer this AM to get an oil change, the salesman told me its 84 months at 0%.

That was quick.
And smart...

Ultra low to zero interest is a great deal if the product is correctly priced. It's essentially free money considering COL increases and the time value of money.
The truck is a bad deal due to depreciation, not interest.

I've seen shite like this before. So you get the zero interest but don't you have to pay full sticker price or something?

And buy gap insurance.

Obviously no its not stupid, but 70k on a truck damn sure is
For sure. Get that lightly used 3 year old model and let the other baw bite that 35%.

Problem is a 3yr old vehicle with under 50k miles is damn near the cost of new and without a warranty

I dunno about the morality and ethics of companies doing this shite. Yeah people make their own decisions but there’s no way a dumbass baw knows what a bad idea this is.
Is a 60 month interest free loan a bad idea as well?
