GM, through its GM Financial arm, is offering 0% financing for seven years – two years more than recent programs – and four months deferred payments for those with A+ credit.

Which baws are falling for this? You get 7 years to pay off that 70k High Country edition Chevy. It makes perfect financial sense!

Marketing. You're still paying that money somewhere. Mainly by buying an asset that depreciates the minute you sign the papers for it.

Oh I agree with that. No way I’m dropping that kind of money on a vehicle.

Then you drive off the lot, total your truck, and get a check for $40k from insurance while still on the hook for that $70k note.

They were doing that 3 months ago when I bought mine. However it was 0 for 72 or 6500 off. I came out better taking the 6500 off.

If the new Tahoe’s were out, I would probably bite.

Our Subaru is a piece of shite.

My local Chevy dealer has a new Silverado on the lot right now for $25,000.

But I guess that goes against the OP's narrative.

They're more than happy to sell you gap insurance. Of course, there go your "savings..."

I dunno about the morality and ethics of companies doing this shite. Yeah people make their own decisions but there’s no way a dumbass baw knows what a bad idea this is.
