the Bama game hasn't been earlier than Nov 3 in like 20+ years. So why would anyone expect it to be this year?

She's not wrong. They do normally fall on the same weekend. The breeders cup is usually the first weekend of Nov.

Looking back at the past few and it's been the first Saturday in November. It just happen this year that the first Saturday was on the 1st. Next year it starts on the 31st of October and ends on the 1st.

Whoa. Pretty big change last night. Last report I saw was a TS or TD hitting LA at noon Sunday. Now it looks like this thing will get caught in the front and torn apart at sea?

That is correct, high pressure will potentially keep it from even making landfall.

Rafael looks like it wants a piece of Texas and/or Mexico.

LSU football fans selfishly rejoice

However, I did notice it's expected to get up to at least a 3. I'm telling you, always add a category or two to the early projections. Last 2 years have taught us that.

Deeper system feeling more of the upper-level flow. Also, this was never really going to be an issue for the LSU game.

Rafael decided to rapidly intensify (110 mph now) and decide to change plans while nobody was looking.
