Holy crap Sunday looks terrible for Acadiana.

If by terrible you mean a standard summer afternoon thunderstorm in Louisiana, I agree.

Calm your boner.

Money. More storms, more money sent to various persons for "research."

Not drinking or smoking but I’m seeing a lot of images in that animated gif that are reminiscent of Gerald Scarfe animations.

It almost looks like there are 2 separate centers. I am definitely not an expert, but is it possible it splits into 2 weaker storms?

Absolutely dry as a bone here in Gulf Shores. The rain bands are petering out in the gulf.

Winds are increasing about 50 miles south of Grand Isle. But the anemometer on this platform is almost 300 feet above sea surface.

Time for the fear mongering weather whores to show that short stretch of LA 1 that is a foot above sea level to show how HIGH the storm surge is

I hope they show the Grand Isle mayor pumping the surge water out over the levee back into the gulf for it to just Jen Psaki itself back into Grand Isle again.

That was my favorite scene from Hurricane Barry.

Even in June every tropical system the past year seems to have a stiffy right up Louisiana's pooper. Hopefully this is not a sign and repeat of last year getting skull dragged by everything that was in the gulf.

Do you have to do this same crap in every tropical system thread every hurricane season? You’ve said it a million times, let it go.

The entire stretch of beach and levee has been repaired and widened and raised. The beach is wider that I can ever remember
