There wasn’t a compelling argument they were making.

Every defense witness ended up furthering the prosecution’s case and their closing statement was a Chewbacca Defense of excuses rather than a summation of continued arguments of self defense.

Still waiting for these Court TV clowns to commend the justice for Metcalf’s family. They haven’t mentioned them one time.

Melo might end up doing an additional 10-15 years in the pen so his fam could whip a brand new Cadillac.

They get to ride in style now to visitation day at the big house.

Yep. They (pretty clearly, IMO) shut it down and rested when it was obvious that each successive witness was making it worse.

The defense lawyers never had a chance with this one. Dumbass family should have pled--assuming there was an offer on the table.

A case as good as this one, the "offer" was probably something like 30/40 years, if the State extended one at all.

For people who were closely following the case, what was the defense team's angle?

After repeated opportunities to vacant the tent - which he wasn't allowed in - instead of leaving, he opted to stab a white kid.

Bottom line is the judged is a pussy and couldn't fight a white kid on his own.

Easy. Don't bring a knife to a track meet, pick a fight, and stab someone to death.

Imagine being a white male liberal. Just lol.

In all of human history there’s never been an entire demographic so pathetic as the white liberal. It’s a fricking embarrassment.

Doubt there was an offer on this one. But yeah if there was, it would’ve been 40+ years with a manslaughter plea.

When a legal team abandons a coherent, step-by-step justification of self-defense and instead shifts to throwing a wall of excuses and distractions at the wall, it's usually because the actual evidence has completely blown their original case apart.

Were there any compelling arguments on how this could potentially be seen as self defense?

I believe the defense suggested that Metcalf essentially impaled himself.

His family gets to be rich with it.

Seeing as KA was a "minor", why aren't the parents held accountable for his actions? Wonder if the parents would have any culpability in this on the civil side.

So what happens to the $700,000+ people donated to him? That should be restitution to the victim's family correct?

I would think they can bring a claim for restitution and a suit for unjust enrichment.

In the shock of all shocks, Jemele Hill is de facto supporting the murderer.

The Left has turned into the party to apologize and prioritize the lack of personal responsibility. If I mess up it's someone else's fault. The entire argument for the Anthony side has been don't hold him accountable for his actions.

Completely lacking of common sense, when proven wrong with logic and truth, they change the argument.

So you are saying that they will find out who the jurors are during the trial, without or without cameras? So then, why not allow cameras?

If 'Melo didn't get high-af last night and frick all night then he made yet another serious error in judgment.

If he did miss his window, he'll have plenty of time on his hands to get high-af and get fricked all night
