The defense attorney also had the officer to confirm that Anthony's knife was legal to carry in Texas and into stadiums.

This isn't the win they think it is. Legal to carry does not mean free to do anything you like. If anything, legal to carry comes with a greater responsibility. Escalating a situation because you are armed runs counter to one's legal ability to possess and carry a weapon.. He had to make ready the weapon by unfolding the blade which means he consciously made the decision to use deadly force in response to multiple requests that he leave the tent area.

Pretty clear that Karmelo’s “advisors” thought they could get a good result with a partially black jury. That didn’t happen. There hasn’t been a single positive development for his self defense argument in this case. He’s going to jail for a very long time.

I also don’t think there will be much reaction outside of black people online. The mainstream media is lightly covering this because even they know there is no case.

The truth no one says out loud, is that outside of waterfront, mountain property etc, the entire real estate market in this country is based on how far can I be away from the Karmelos of the world without having a 3 hour drive to work.

One of the reasons why real estate is still expensive as shite here.

It’s crazy to think about. But I was guilty of this when I bought my house.

It's one of the reasons I moved away from Columbia, SC. Getting your house broken in to in broad daylight and having "youths" break in to cars in your neighborhood nightly is not something I even remotely worry about here. And I lived in the "nice" part of Columbia (Forest Acres).

Wrong.

The Court appointed him a lawyer after he claimed indigent status. They don't have a public defender's office however.

quote:

However, during the legal proceedings, Karmelo Anthony filed an affidavit of indigency and was granted a court-appointed attorney. Because Collin County, Texas, does not have a traditional public defender's office, the court appoints private attorneys from a qualified panel to represent indigent defendants. Therefore, while he is state-funded/taxpayer-funded (like a traditional public defender), his defense is being handled by a court-appointed private lawyer rather than a salaried government public defender.

Who was appointed by the court after he filed an affidavit of indigency. The State is in fact paying for his lawyer.

Nice try though

KC has to deal with the MO NG.

Baltimore is already a shithole so I’m not sure what more damage they can do.

Why does it even matter? Its just defense trying to muddy the waters

When the facts are on your side, slam the facts

When the facts aren't on your side, slam the table

The defense has been slamming the table since day 1 of this trial

In all honesty, he probably should have copped a plea from the very beginning. His idiot family and race hustling supporters have walked him right into the hands of a jury where his fate could be life in prison if not football numbers.

The situation is much more useful to racebaiters to try the case, spread misinformation about the facts to make it appear he’s innocent, and then foment division and violence when he’s inevitably found guilty and given a just sentence exceeding 20 years.

Spend 5 minutes on twitter. Literally hundreds of posts from black people saying, without question, that if someone "puts they hands on you", you can kill them

Its incredibly interesting and frightening

The honor culture in the black community is a horrible thing. To some, it's actually preferable to die over perceived disrespect than to do the right thing.
